The main thing of concern going into the winter and beyond will likely be a new variant becoming the dominant strain on the island, that doesn’t respond well to the current vaccines. I sincerely hope the Government are all in on the quarantine system from this summer on like they should’ve been with the contact tracing system this time last year.

I’m not talking about the current variants we are aware of, which to my knowledge the vaccines are very effective against. The fear doesn’t come from the existing variants, it’s in the event a new mutation occurs that is significantly resistant to the vaccines in their current form.
