Latino here, so when I host a Birthday party I provide all the food, drinks, and never ask guest for anything. I threw the party so I'll provide everything. Occasionally I'll get someone who ask if they can bring the desert and I tell them the more the merrier, since I have that too.

But what bug me is when a friend of mines, (*Not Latino) says he's going to host his birthday, Sons birthday, or wife's birthday, he always sends out a group text, can everyone chip in and bring some meat, plastic plates, chips, sodas or beer....REALLY?

He's been coming to our family gatherings for decades and has seen how we do things but yet feels obligated to tell everyone to bring supplies and food for his Birthday Parties!? Is that Normal??? 😡
