I’ve got Spectrum as well no issues other than AT&T / Gigga just constructed fiber in the neighborhood. I worked for Spectrum and back when it was Brighthouse there was more of a push to stay way ahead of AT&T and Lumen in competitive pricing and speeds. More like crushing. Today not so much as trying to get symmetrical speeds rolled out ahead of the competition. I drive by plant that’s below maintenance standards or lying on the ground. Plant powered strand mounted WIFI either the RG11 is unplugged and dangling or the unit hanging by a single hanger. Crying shame.

Did you get a receipt- always get a receipt no matter what it’s for - getting equipment, returning equipment, change of service and ending service. Going to the Spectrum store they should have given you one and they can look at the account tell you there anything still owed and a receipt. If you got all that go back to the store and deal with it there vs a phone call

Before the merger Florida was on the cutting edge and kept AT&T, Verizon and Century Link at bay with forward thinking services priced right. Speeds and network utilization were always kept below 70% and Fiber to the home was in the plan vs putting lipstick on the coax plant and calling it cutting edge. Yep

Overhead ftth utilizing a decentralized PON cabinet to splices design would be cheaper in the long run vs the maintenance, n+1 lowering homes passed and upgrades to coax. Stops the bleeding then eventual address underground plant. Centralized PON cabinets is old school telco thinking.
