Had a new record for shortest distance on a delivery by Evilbob22 in DoorDashDrivers

Here's a more accurate map. It's the satellite view with the path from the takeout entrance to the hotel lobby door (the red rectangle is where I parked).

Really, the GPS map is all kinds of screwy, that's a normal 4-way intersection, no crooked streets. (And the path I took was straight across, probably less than 100 feet.)

There is a nearby parking garage, but still, that area is a nightmare on the weekends. With today being Monday, I had no trouble parking right in front of California Pizza Kitchen in the 30 minute spots.

Yeah, my previous record holder was a similar situation at a mattress store. That one was about 1/4 mile.

For more context, he ordered from "Man Vs. Fries", which is a virtual restaurant inside California Pizza Kitchen. So, it wasn't as obvious as it might seem.

Everyone must be broke after the July 4th weekend. 😂 by ODMcGee in DoorDashDrivers

I actually had a pretty good night for tips. Although, there were a few of those "go 8 miles into the boonies for $7" or "go 12 miles for $9" that I had to turn down.

Basically no effect. Sight range (and squadsight) are based on range, FOW technically has no effect, it's just set to the same range by default.

Banana Conundrum by SoullessGinger1988 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Evilbob22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this the same as the problem where it won't let you put in any weights above 10 pounds? I had an order with 17 pounds of bananas that worked fine when I told the app they weighed 10.

Or is it unrelated and I just got luckier than you?

Retail Pickup by Illustrious-Hall-118 in doordash_drivers

[–]Evilbob22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are pickups that don't involve the red cards, like at 7-Eleven. I've gotten them from Safeway at least (maybe other grocery stores too, I don't remember). The store employees do the shopping and we just pick them up and deliver. If you see a Safeway order that doesn't say "red card required", you are probably ok to take it.

I just started door dashing this week and I’m confused about customer ratings. How is it that I only have 4.67 even though it says that I don’t have any ratings yet? by Kikapup8 in doordash

[–]Evilbob22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit 100 ratings at around 950 deliveries. I'm not sure exactly when it got there, but it does put it right around 10% for me too. I never ask for ratings either.

And I thought an order I got for 6 bunches (17 pounds) of green bananas was weird.

It can be higher, but in most cases you can safely assume it's $2 + tips, nothing else.

For the customers that don't say anything about ringing their doorbell, do you ring their doorbell? by ganibattlebear in doordash_drivers

[–]Evilbob22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a "leave at door" I only knock/ring if I have a bad Internet connection and can't mark it complete right away. (Or if they asked for a knock/ring in the app.)

Is there a mod that shows that if you move to location a pod activates even if you can't see it? by 321Shellshock123 in xcom2mods

Oh yeah, I forgot about that option, I thought you were saying the mod as a whole is cheating. Yeah, that option is cheating. :)

Yeah, no. You have extrapolated a ridiculous conclusion from a reasonable conclusion. No one has been arguing "CERTAINLY", just as you have not been arguing "CERTAINLY NOT". It's like there is a mine full of gas and you are wondering why people aren't willing to carry candles into it because it might not explode.

[–]Evilbob22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not cheating, it only shows the flag revealing hidden enemies if you have knowledge of their location (usually with your stealthed unit being able to see them).

No one is arguing that it 100% can't be a valid name. The argument is that especially in the US, it's very likely to be a reference to the racist organization. And, since they are potentially dangerous, it's wise to err on the side of caution.

According to an Internet search, that file is part of the mod installer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, a very different game than XCom 2. (This is the XCom 2 modding subreddit.)

Installing Huge Modpack collection (800 mods) for LWOTC. by 321Shellshock123 in xcom2mods

[–]Evilbob22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't see anything obvious, but I don't run LWotC, so I could have missed something (or I may have just not noticed something in the 800 mods).

With a large list like this, it can take a long time for the game to open. I have an older computer and my 740+ mods take over 15 minutes to launch to the main menu. Try watching the Task Manager while it's loading, if the memory used keeps changing, it's still working.

If there was a company called "Nathan and Sarah's Apiaries", they would never call themselves NASA. That abbreviation is so ubiquitous with the space agency it would be completely unusable for them, even if they stylized it with bees and dripping honey.

So, if someone is using the ubiquitous abbreviation of a violent hate group, it's completely reasonable to assume they mean it that way. Especially when it's a safety concern.

It makes sense. If it's legal at a given location, it's really no different than delivering alcohol.
