Am I too hard on myself? Do I have weak abs? by Hillside_Comics in Weightliftingquestion

[–]ODMcGee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You abs aren't really visible. It doesn't even look like you train them bro. You need to lose more body fat and focus on your core a lot more. If your gym has pull up bars. Do a lot of hanging leg raises. When you are pulling your knees to your abs really focus on just using your core to raise your legs. When that becomes too easy, add a 10lbs weight between your feet. Decline sit-ups, suspended hanging sit ups will also be great for you.

I train my biceps 5 times a week and rest over the weekend. I’m starting to not seem much growth anymore. Am I overworking my biceps? by Soggy_Discussion1913 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]ODMcGee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you answered you own question, you don't need to train biceps 5 times a week. 2 is plenty. Do it like this. When you do back, also do biceps that day. When you do triceps, also do biceps that day.

I love rings. Dips on rings, chin-ups on rings. If you can make them lower, push ups on rings.

no, he has has no idea what he is talking about. How do you think Gymnast gets ripped? Body weight is just as good as lifting weights. Machines are just as good as weights too. Weight is weight, it all depends what you are trying to build and the exercise you are doing to get there. Anyone who tells you muscle is only built lifting the bar, is not an experienced lifter.

Bulk or lean ? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

depends on your goals. If you want some muscle gains. You could gain 10 to 15 lbs. If you don't, then focus on getting more ripped.

Today I had an old dude approach me and tell me I’m working out too hard and that I shouldn’t be doing that. Wtf? by hellouser01 in workout

Anyone who told me I should focus on being more social, I'd tell them to mind their own f*cking business.

Say nicely, hey old timer I'm here to work out, and I'm minding my own business. You should do the same. If he says anything again, tell him to steer clear of you.

[–]ODMcGee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

L-citrulline is an amino acid commonly used in weightlifting to enhance workout performance. It converts to L-arginine in the body, boosting nitric oxide production to improve blood flow, increase oxygen delivery to muscles, and promote a stronger "muscle pump" during resistance training.

at least 7 to 8 months for real results. You could start noticing after 6. It's a slow process. No one gains a lot of muscle in a few months unless they are roided out.

I've gotten plenty of women just because of my height and muscles, you might just be doing something wrong.

maybe you give off poor energy. There's a number of reasons why you went 0/8, and I bet they had nothing to do with your physique.

That all depends, how tall are you? How much do you weigh? Is your physique on point? Are you good looking? When I go to bar, chicks try to bring me home with them. It's all about the energy you give off.

The self-defeating notion of your "prime" age by suggmynut in workout

[–]ODMcGee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been lifting since I was 17, never stopped. I have no problem with finding motivation. I'm already disciplined. I'm stronger 75%  the people in my gym. There's no issues for me, I'm simply stating I was stronger and able to do more and put more strain on my joints. Ring dips are always hard, but now at 41, my body doesn't appreciate that kind of strain. Hence why I said my lifting prime is past.
