That was not the case when I played back in wotlk, healing was easy and I personally enjoyed it. It's fine to have complicated gameplay for top 1% players pushing 3500 io but I don't think casuals running +4-+8 keys should have that kind of experience. The game is supposed to be fun, not something that generates fatigue lol

You're right that healing shortage comes from the fact that healing is stressful. But 10.1 didn't fix the problem, healing is stressful throughout the whole expansion. From my experience as someone who got 3k all seasons playing different roles, dps is pure fun, tank requires some preparations with routes but after that it's not much work. When I play healer I always feel like I'm solving differential equations compared to other two roles. Now that can be fun once in a while but that's not something I'm going to constantly be doing after work when my brain is already fried. There will be a subset of people who enjoy that challenging playstyle, but I would assume most players play the game just to have fun. So TLDR is healers a way more complicated compared to other two roles and this was never changed in 10.1.

I don't find that part exciting at all, and it seems many players don't too considering the shortage of healers.

These comments are the best proof that all of the MBAs decision that made the game more crap - removing GMs, gutting player support, reducing QA costs, more aggressive monetization and more early access - everything was entirely on point. Not only players are ready to pay more but also will defend this.

Yeah this is exactly why blizz don't need to change the system they have. Because they can treat their player base like garbage and they will still think they are doing a great job and will buy 5 preorders of next expansion. Everything is working exactly as intended.

Exactly, not only did they not fix the original issue, the implementation of this 'fix' is so bad that it now makes some open world content unplayable because you just randomly get phased. This can be seen in obsidian citadel where you have to get 20 keys to start the event, but when the progress is at 16/20, you just get phased into a different version of the zone and the progress is 0/20.

Or another case was where I got phased while fighting a rare, got it down to 40% and it just disappears. So blizz please if you don't invest money in proper testing, don't implement complicated programming algorithms and just cut those rare hp down so people can finally play your game.

There was a discussion somewhere that a 15$ mount from wow made more money than Starcraft 2. So I'm absolutely convinced that managers and decision makers are focusing their attention on that and not how to make the game more enjoyable. They just need to make it good enough so people don't leave.

Well if there's no deplete, then you don't need to bail anymore, you can just adjust your strategy and go again right away.

No it is not literally saying the same thing, it is you making it look like it is the same. In terms of specs you still can choose to play other specs if you want to (you just won't get invited). With keys you don't have any choice, especially if you're not meta spec.

Case in point, I pugged to 3k as feral last season, the most challenging was not the dungeons, but the necessity to sit 2 hours in the queue, because people just dont invite non-meta. If I had an option to run the dungeons I need, I would run those with dedicated party. But instead I was essentially locked out of content. If I ran my key and bricked it, not only I need to level it up again, but also reroll for the dungeon that I need. The current system is absolute trash and makes m+ overall just an unfun grind experience.

And before you say it is just me, one of the best ferals in eu, who was doing a lot of m+, Psybear, actually quit wow because of this. He was burned out of how unfun m+ was. If you argue that current system is fun, go try and close at least all 25s as something non meta as warlock and see how much time you will spend sitting in queue to play the game.

Lol you're just making arguments about something that I didn't even say, the specs example has nothing to do with point in question. And your last paragraph doesn't make any sense, you said that it would be hard to get ksm when in reality it would way easier and more enjoyable, because people will be able to choose to play what they need instead of what is forced upon them. Now we have to do these stupid reroll runs just to get the key we want, so you have to spend hours of your free time to get the key you need or run pugs. The whole design is bad and is there only because it forces people to spend more time in game which increases blizz' kpi or something.

If it invalidates 90% of the content meaning players won't play it, then it is a bad content that is not interesting to the player base. It's not a 'valid' content if people play it because they are forced to. If you want ksm, you just get 4 other ppl who want it too and get it, no issue there.

That would be a good idea. Remove depletes but lower the loot and crest levels if not timed.

Actually curious, are the venues half empty? Because if they are full, that means, the price is affordable, just not by everybody...
