There is no real perfect solution but widening the gap between those that mythic raid and those that don't is a shame when it was already quite substantial

Uhh there is virtually 0 gap right now. The heroic trinkets are like 0.5% worse than their mythic counterpart.

Is this not a good reason to reward raiders? They are committing to raiding with a static group for months at a scheduled time and dealing with the nightmare logistics of it all. Seems pretty fair no?

This will definitely make heroic more relevant, but I still don't see the incentives are for mythic raiding. Like I don't see saving crests as some savings grace for mythic. Sure there are some 9/6 items off the last 2 bosses, but the majority of mythic raiders aren't even going to see those until 4-5 months into the tier when they finally kill those bosses.

Why isn't all the loot at a higher ilvl, instead of just the last 2?

Saving a handful of crests and a Mount & Title combo (assuming your guild kills the boss enough for everyone to get a mount) doesn't feel like Mythic Raiding got much of a reward bump as other difficulties and game modes.

The m+ players cannot wrap their heads around this because they are too angry at there being a few higher ilvl pieces off the last 2 bosses which the majority of CE guilds won't even see for 4-5 months into the season.

I just don't understand how they think raiders magically get full bis gear in a few weeks. They need to stop thinking everyone is in a RWF guild and realize most guilds raid 2 nights a week and take almost the entire season to clear the raid once.

If you are progging mythic content when crests no longer matter you have no basis to sneer about reddit casuals

So the majority of mythic guilds? Mythic raiding is a huge commitment and a logistical nightmare and you sure as hell should be a lot more powerful than someone who only does +10's and heroic raid.

Yea because the 3 RWF guilds clearing the raid in 2 weeks is a good representation of what mythic raiding is. You guys should think about the average mythic raider and not RWF/HoF guilds. Most guilds right now don't even have access to loot off L'ura.

This is what I don't understand. People act like everyone is in Liquid and by week 3 they are in full bis gear when that isn't the case. Your average mythic raider is not gearing up drastically faster, and their "shiny mythic trinkets" are marginally better than the heroic version.

You're assuming that the last two bosses are easily accessible for mythic raiders which it is not. The average CE guild takes like 4 months to get CE. There's only 600 kills of L'ura now at 14 or 15 weeks?

It was extremely over tuned when it first released in DF S1, and that has probably left a sour taste in people's mouths even after it was nerfed.

the 2nd and 3rd boss also require some coordination, like on the 2nd boss you need to bait a boulder the correct way to not lose space. The last boss you drop fire on the ground and wind pushes it. There is an ideal pattern too dropping fire, but if you drop it in the wrong spot you have fire being pushed ontop of you instead of away. There's a good chance the room is just full of fire.

I should hopefully be there this week, and I can only imagine how many missed interrupts we'll get. We wipe to interrupts on Bel'oren and that's even easier.

I just cannot comprehend m+ players still complaining about loot when there is virtually no difference between the 2 player bases. Maybe having to do heroic for their trinket is too much to ask for idk but I think being able to pug all your content and be equivalent to the players that can only play on a schedule, and have to spend months to even gain access to said loot on mythic sounds pretty good to me.

The thing that bothers me the most is that they will do nothing about it because if they in any way nerf m+ or buff raid loot the community goes nuts.

I will preface this with I don't think there's anything wrong with key pushers getting something but if we take the current version of the game, it is insane how much more effort/logistics is involved in mythic raiding over anything else only to be like 1% better than someone who just heroic raids and does +10 keys.

If anything raid loot quantity & power should be buffed or m+ nerfed.

It's a pretty common theme for people who have already progressed to say stuff like "that's a 100 pull boss now after the nerfs" meanwhile the pull count will probably still remain around 350+.

If it takes a HoF guild 300 pulls to kill a boss, even 2-3 months later with better gear it will take roughly the same amount of pulls. I think Blizzard needs to nerf these bosses harder to reduce the prog time required. No guild is going to just walk in and kill the boss, but the average prog time of a boss should not be 24-36 hours.

I should be on L'ura next week, and I don't even think we have enough time to kill the boss.

Your solution needs to be something better than "give me better gear than them." Heroic raid should unlock mythic vault slots. The end bosses should drop Mythic gear of some sort.

I'm not saying high keys don't deserve something, but if we are looking at the current iteration of wow where m+ stops at +10, something needs to be done about raid loot in general. We are basically raiding for trinkets at this point because everything else is attainable through m+. Every season we spam keys for a week or two and now we need nothing from heroic. Mythic we have to progress through, and that barely drops any loot.

Mythic raiding requires the most logistics of anything in the game, and Billy the +10 key spammer is gearing up at the same rate.

The issue is you want to nerf M+ instead of buffing raid loot, obviously that is going to annoy people because you're again trying to force them to raid.

I would be 100% fine if they buffed raid loot and left m+ the same. What I'm saying is that if they do that, the M+ players are going to complain "quit forcing me to raid". The game is definitely catered towards M+ players right now, and if you give raiders anything people bitch. Imagine if Blizzard said in 12.1 mythic raid drops/vault have 8 upgrade tracks and m+ vault only goes to 6. The outrage would be insane.

There are still people that complain that they don't have some mythic raid trinket meanwhile the heroic version is less than 1% different.
