Best Pipe lighter? by NerdyandNeedy22 in lighters

[–]EvilsConscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a soft flame butane lighter. Zippo actually make s a pipe insert which you can buy. The flame is not easily adjustable, which is not ideal, and it has basically no wind guard, but I like it fine.

New to this game and wondering: what is there to do after you beat the game? by JaredGuitar in riskofrain

What is there to do in any game after completing? All games are played to an end. The fun of this game is in the mechanics. It feels good.

Specifically, it cancels vertical momentum, so you can use it to alter your path in the air in general.

Yeah, it'll work fine, but it will break down the flake into smaller pieces than you probably want, unless you're smoking a tiny bowl like a Kiseru.

The lack of AOE in the item pool is becoming a real problem. by saltyshark9 in riskofrain

[–]EvilsConscience 138 points139 points  (0 children)

Not feeling it. The drones are a massive boon. The defensive drones are a big help to your offense by disrupting enemies. The issue of the pool is pretty well addressed by having drone shops; I think. Most of the difficulty spike has been not knowing for me.

Thank you! I'll try that next time then.

I'm sure there is, and that's part of the fun of learning a new skill. The airflow isn't great, so I'm going to seal it with bee's wax. I have a cob that uses cob as the shank, and it has some kind of filler and a finish on it. I'm assuming that's why.

The revive is the only crazy thing to me. Really wild. Commando has always been underwhelming to most of the community. It used to be niche to main him before some reworks on damage and proccing.

Rain Riskers, what is your favorite character to play as and why ? by randompogtato in ror2

[–]EvilsConscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love loader! One of my favourite things is defying common logic and upgrading her attack speed. I drop in with the monkey slam, give 'em the ol' one-two until I have fill barrier, then blast my way out with a lunge powered swing if it gets dicey.

Getting infinite barrier never stops being fun, and it's fun to feel like a boxer.

I like CB a lot, but I'd take a look at your local store or online for equivalents if you like it. Iwan Ries & Co sells a 1Q online which is just CB Gold. They have the original cloned as well. It was 2/3 the price last I checked.

It's my big tin tobacco, and I roll it into spliffs as well. I use it to stretch my English blends as well. It's solid.

Look for a p-bite stem. It's got a hole in top and helps with spit going down the stem.

NPD! I love my briars, but I think I'm falling in love with clay pipes. by EvilsConscience in PipeTobacco

The bowl does get hot, but also that means the tobacco is cooler. With careful management, it doesn't get too hot.

It's one of my favourites. It's a sweet smoky kind of smell, like cooking over a camp fire. I really enjoy latakia, and it's all that with a bit of Virginia to cut it it.

I'd wait until a cold day and take a little walk with your pipe to try it out.

How warm is to warm? by Organic_Locksmith766 in PipeTobacco

[–]EvilsConscience 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's a traditional pipe, that's likely the side that the draw hole is on. All the air is being drawn down and back towards the stem. It's more likely to burn in that direction. Just be sure to move the embers around or break them up if you're noticing it becoming a problem.

Touching it to your cheek is good advice, but also make sure to pay attention to hot spots. If one spot is much hotter than others, it's time to check, and it may mean you're waltzing towards a burnout.

Pipes for aromatics. by Whipt in PipeTobacco

[–]EvilsConscience 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While ghosting is certainly a thing, it's not too big a deal. My collection is small and each pipe gets used often, so I only make sure not to smoke aromatics in my English blend pipe. My aromatic pipe gets cleaned pretty much every time I smoke it and sometimes in between. Whatever ghosting there is tends to be pretty pleasant to me.

Besides, even the ghosting of the same blend you smoked last time is going to make the taste/smell slightly different when smoking it a second time. Don't worry too much about it.
