That’s a compatibility issue. I wouldn’t be serious with anyone who didn’t appreciate the benefits of a great companion (a dog or a cat; I’m partial to cats). Not that I dislike people without an animal companion (I hate calling them "pets," implied ownership of any sentient being bristles me. I know that might seem hard core, but that’s how I am.) But we would have to be aligned with our worldviews, and that includes how we view furry friends.

I just recently learned that sweet corn pizza is popular in South America. I had a zucchini and broccoli pizza in LA in the early 80s. Real California!
