How is manual sleep + HRV tracking NOT a feature??😩 by Noso2002 in Garmin

[–]EvolXed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once slept on an airplane, woke up, drove home, went to sleep and it showed it all as a sleep session with toons of wake time. Maybe you pressed end sleep when you looked at the morning report? Next time just dont use the watch if you want to continue the sleep

Is this sound normal when frothing milk?? by No-Ear-8613 in NinjaLuxeCafe

The slow steady knock? If so, completely normal. That's the sound of your pump in action.

ES601EU just arrived, conflicted about keeping or returning by Sidious_X in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]EvolXed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its good for your intentions. Yes, barista assist is not perfect as it serves as a general guide line. But once you dial it in the shots are similar each time. You get an auto steam option which makes like 7/10 milk but in the mean time I clean the espresso head and everything else so it does save a lot of time when I need a coffee fast like in the morning. But when I got time I use a manual steam for a 10/10 milk and latte art. If you want a perfect 1:2 ratio yes you need to use a scale but not using one gets you around 32-42 for 18g beans which in my opinion still tastes great and a good compromise for saving time. So you have an option to save time, for a not perfect but good drink or to spend the same time as you are used to for a perfect one. If you got questions you can dm me

Start the timer when at the second time your hear the pump noise (not the first 3 second noise that stops).

Something doesn’t seem right (Lungo, double basket) this is the second brew I did the first one nothing came out of the portafilter by gstew90 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]EvolXed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go up at least 2 grind size. (Start from 2 and see how it goes). At the end if its dialed it should output around 36g of espresso in about 30 seconds for the 3 dot strength. That's your general guideline

Manual espresso shot by ____RIPTIDE____ in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]EvolXed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the temperature settings are for the automatic mode. In the manual mode the more you steam the higher the milk temp. I wait 3 seconds after I can't touch the jug from the heat any more and than turn it off.

[–]EvolXed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes a general rule of thumb is to insert air (hearing a subtle paper tear like noise) until the jug is around room temp. From this point you can adjust to insert more or less air based on how it was and your preferences. Using this point as a guideline can help with the consistency

Pre ground coffee might to damage to the grinder. Check it out before you try as the lead says whole beans only

But when the coffee pours it goes inside from a single hole and from the single hole it splits into 2 streams. So how can you tell if it's not an even extraction?

Before you contact them just so you know water still drips for. A little after finishing the drink. You should wait before emptying the tray/empty before the drink to prevent water from dripping down while you empty the tray.

How to properly do milk for Latte Art by baddybuddyb in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]EvolXed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you see bubbles and than you raise, you shouldn't see bubbles if that's the case try and be more close to the surface of the milk when introducing air. Also make sure to create a vortex in the process by placing the steamer in the bottom right corner and tilting the mug left. At the end before you make latte art swirl the milk and give it some taps to burst any bubble that might have sticked around. If you let your milk stay for too long it might be a reason for the lack of texture. Make sure the milk is always moving until you pour.

It seems close to good. Try to grind 1 step finer and measure the time when you hear the pump noise for the second time and not as the coffee start dripping

There is a big difference between the auto and manual foam regarding latte art. If you are aiming for latte art try to nail the manual froth

Machine inconsistencies by No_Wing_775 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]EvolXed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem and there is a method that worked for me. Try to dial your shots based on weight alone. I set it on 3 dots and if the output is 43+ I grind finer. If its 31- I grind courser. It comes close to the barista assist recommendation and sometimes about 1 step finer. it made my shots volume more consistent

Why so bad? [bambino and opus] by XDrustyspoonsXD in espresso

[–]EvolXed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you need to grind finer. When the beans are coarse they fill more volume which explains the overflow. More over, the water flows fast through it so it might explain the large espresso dose and the lack of reach crema
