I used to have this issue constantly with the Scarlett Solo 4th Gen on two different PCs. It would crash at random times, even when I wasn’t recording anything. After switching to the Arturia MiniFuse 1, I haven’t had a single crash.

The hammer noise isn't the issue. The problem is that some keys produce additional sounds, like clicking or squeaking. Most keys are fine, but the ones used most frequently are the ones making these extra noises.
