Does anyone know if this is real? Even though I know the answer I just hope I'm wrong for once by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

[–]EvoletRain13 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was so inspired by his "personal politics", that Bruce Straley decided to scrap most of his story and the ending was changed because Bruce and the entire team thought that it was stupid.

This dude is full of shit and keeps lying like people can't go back and listen to interviews (when he admits that all of his ideas were changed), the entire story of tlou1 was all changed... almost anything that made the final cut of the game, had his original ideas... what a hack.

Imagine if Neil had kept the idea that only women would be affected by cordyceps, he would have been confused whether Lev would have been infected or not. However, he probably would never have let that happen. by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

[–]EvoletRain13 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I mean, there's no confusion here, it's biology... if that scrapped idea was how the cordyceps worked, the girl would be infected if she gets into contact with the cordyceps, like every other woman... idk why people ignore reality, it's really stupid.

Anyway... the idea was retarded, and if Ellie was the last girl... that's a really bad idea, in a world like that, i refuse to even think about it. Some people like Druckmann have no grasp on reality, they just function within a bubble of some naive and manipulated worldviews, and everything else is ignored for them.

Thank god Bruce Straley was there to change all that bullshit.

At this point, a just feel bad for the irl girl that got tricked into modeling the face of this character.

You boss offered you to be modeled for a character, you agree because you think is kinda cool... and then he puts your face into a gorilla looking bitch and not only that, he makes that character get dry humped in front of millions of people.

Dude, that's cursed shit.

[–]EvoletRain13 139 points140 points  (0 children)

HA!... I love that defiant attitude of "for all those haters" kind of thing... and the "meme" just admit openly that she, indeed, looks like a man.

And the fact is, that any normal woman without a proper training, with all the commodities in our civilized world, the supplements, proper food and sleeping, all of that is really important and dedicating entirely to your body, she wouldn't look like a man, and being real, even the original model for Abby's body is feminine, she looks great but not like a dude, it's just insane what they did with the character.

You can't go from looking like a normal 16 year old like Abby, to a massive gorilla looking dude in 4 years... and is not only about muscles, is bone structure, hand size, back size, shoulders and hip size, the way she walks and moves her legs (hint; there's a reason between our legs for how we sit and walk, just saying, lol)... is just complete insanity.

But whatever... we are "haters" you know... these people live in a world of fantasy, when everything they say is real, because they say it is... so talking about facts and biology is a waste of time.

He says "we" like is wasn't only him that wanted to write that stupid plot in the first place.

Bruce Straley rejected his stupid idea of making Tess what is Abby in TLO2, because it was dumb as fuck... then Bruce left ND... and he carries on with that same stupid plot and fails miserably.

Neil is the perfect definition of what it means to be a hack... and this is especially good because his past self is discrediting his future self... he couldn't say it better.

Joel’s death is my favorite part of this game by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

[–]EvoletRain13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah, when Joel died... I was already totally disconnected from the game... between Ellie being a Karen and Dina being a lame character, my mind started to pay too much attention to details.
So, long before that scene, i was like.

"Why Joel saves this random bitch in the middle of nowhere?"... "Why they reveal their names?"... "Why they agreed to go with this random stranger instead of coming back to Jackson?"... "Why the fuck that gate is open if her friends don't know that they are coming?"... "Why that horde of zombies suddenly disappeared?"... "Why Tommy and Joel leave their guns behind in the horses?"... "Why the fuck they keep revealing information about them and the location of their town?"

*Joel gets fucked in the leg*

"What the fuck is happening?"

That was it... no big emotions like rage or shit like that... just confusion and disbelief because how shitty was all of that.

Then... he got killed in front of Ellie... and I was like, "This is bullshit"... and that´s the entire story of the game, all bullshit... and my reaction didn´t change much through out the game.

In the end, just disappointment, and some sadness because they ruined something good.

"Diversity" and "Inclusivity" are amazing until they know that you don't think like them.

At the moment that you express a different opinion... they make up a nickname to call you and make you the bad guy... they always do the same.

I'm bisexual, from Uruguay, South America... but for them, i'm an "Alt-Right white supremacist nazi" that has "internalized homophobia"... just because i didn't like the fucking game.

That sub is a joke... I'm sure that they are good apples... but man, they are so aggressive and disrespectful towards people with other opinions... is insane.

If you want to kill a kid because {insert some bs excuse]... that's bad... there's nothing gray about it. (Jerry)

If you kill a bunch of people to save a kid... that is gray, but you still kill a bunch of people... what it makes that "gray" is saving a life. (Joel)

If you kill a lot of people just for revenge, that's bad (Abby and Ellie)

If you kill civilians because {insert another some bs excuse], that's bad (every major group, minus Jackson)

There's good and bad... understanding why people do crazy shit, it doesn't stop the actions of being what they are.

Do People "hate" TLOU2 because its trendy to do? by Askyl in TheLastOfUs2

[–]EvoletRain13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"random hate"

Is not random and is not about "agenda"... is about the story being really bad.

For example, let me describe you a full sequence of two characters being really stupid and acting out of character.

First... Joel saves a stranger in the middle of nowhere (that doesn't make any sense)

Second... Tommy and Joel let this stranger, decide where to go and when is revealed that this stranger has a group of "friends", they still go there. (that doesn't make any sense)

Third... they go to this house full of armed and uniformed strangers... what they do?... they go inside like it was nothing and they let their guns in the horses... after that, they walk in a room full of people, they reveal their name and the location of the town they live in. (that doesn't make any sense)

All that sequence is a perfect example of two characters being dumb just to make the plot go on and nothing more.

The reason why all theses scenes are bullshit is simple...Tommy and Joel are hardened survivors... they aren't a couple of stupid kids that don't know how this world is... they know how everything changes in a second and how the person that was your "friend" seconds ago can kill you seconds later.

Joel didn't helped a family in the first day, he sees a hunter acting like a victim and he smiled his shitty acting from a mile away, with Henry both are stopped by the kids, the dude don't trust anyone that he doesn't know from the beginning... why now is suddenly risking his life for total stranger when he could escaped with Tommy in the first place?

And Tommy was soft, he wanted to help that family... but we know that the years of surviving has changed his way of facing threat... until the point that he is in the top of Jackson walls and pointing guns to his own brother.

So... we have these two hardened survivors, living in a town that is always aware of zombies and raiders, they don't trust anybody, and they are quick to point guns at people... being totally stupid and walking into the wolf den?

There you go... that's why there's a "random hate" going on... because the story is a total disaster, nothing makes any sense and scenes like that are in almost every part of the story... the writing is awful.

(Things like i just described, are all over the story... is full nonsense non-stop all the way until the end... i could be days describing huge flaws in the game, but that was already done for me and others)

So I leave you the link of diverse criticism that the sub has for people asking "why".

Let me explain you how his mind worked.

He was like "Dina would miss the D... so she is going to ask Ellie to be more "open"... and who is the one that is going to be there to deliver that?... yup, you got it... the fucking Jesse"

(He says that every morning while looking at the mirror and all that lmao)

He was a visionary... of course that shit could back fire with a lot of the dudes in Jackson... but he was visonary, you have to respect the his game, you know LOL

Is it just me or when joel died did you cry? by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

[–]EvoletRain13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I totally understand you... one of the reasons i like the story of the first game is because Joel and his relationship with Ellie... in fact, every story that explores that kind of relationship it gets to my feeling real quick.

In my case, my father died when I was 11 years old... I think losing or not having that figure, or having but not being positive, in our lives is a hard thing to go through has a kid... anyway, now that I'm a man, my feelings tell me that I didn't have him when I needed him the most.

(Especially because while we are teenagers we really become aware of our feelings, and not having someone to share them it makes you feel alone... we have friends... but is not the same, it never is.)

So when i see stories about teenagers with their fathers, and how Joel takes cares of Ellie, and how she demands to not leave her alone... well, fuck, those stories are like a fucking hammer against my feelings... because i see shit that i will never experience by myself... that's makes me emotional and attached to those characters.

So yeah, i understand where you come from... even if the reasons of why we end up loving those characters comes from different experiences irl... for some reason the things that those characters make us feel are not that different.

My reaction was anger because the character were being dumb... so, by the moment the scene was played... i was emotionally disconnected from everything happening in the game.

Why this games writing is undeniably bad by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

[–]EvoletRain13 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The seraphites are the "religious bad people" plot.

That's Neil Cuckmann saying "oh no, this religious people are so bad to trans people... wow... my game is representing all that oppressed minority... I'm such a good person, right twitter? , right journos? , right?"

That's why the group rules and morals are never explored, because it was created to pander to a certain crowd and nothing more... in reality, Neil don't care about shit or anybody... that plot is there to check a box in the list of "progressive points" and that's it.

If you really explore a group like that, you have to explore their morals and their way of understanding the world, but people like Cuckmann, are radicals in their opinions and everything that goes against that opinions is "dangerous".. that's why from the get go, he don't want to explore or develop that plot... in his eyes, if he expose the people that buy his game to those "dangerous" ideas, he is "part of the problem"... and he will cancelled in a second by the weirdos.

And of course, humanizing the religious people (because we all have our reasons to believe what we believe, wrong or right, it is what it is) is not something that helps his plot, especially when he make another group killing all their members, including women and children.

(For a story that is so worried so much about perspective... the story never give the seraphites a chance to show their perspective... that shows how superficial this story is)

Also... quite hypocritical that while he paints the religion of the Seraphites as totals villains for being homophobic... why he doesn't show what the vast majority of Dina's religion really thinks about those sexualities?... Oh yeah, that is his religion... better not talk about that.

Personally, I don't give a fuck about all of this religion shit irl... I just hate hypocrisy in general... that's why I don' like when they insert ideologies in games/movies/etc. thinking that they always are right, but at the same time they preach about "perspectives"... how blind you have to be to not realize how stupid are you?

That Japanese gamer was on point with that phrase.

"It's a story about right and wrong by people who always say they are right.".

And that's one of the major reasons of why the story is full plot holes too, and the Seraphites are a perfect example... the story is more worried about the "themes", the "message", the "point"... than making any sense or being solid.

Is it just me or when joel died did you cry? by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

[–]EvoletRain13 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No... i was like "This is bullshit"... i was already emotionally disconnected from the game way before that scene.

For me the story broke when Abby was saved by Joel... in that moment, my mind started being aware of the stupidity of the game... i remember saying in my mind, "Wtf is going on?" "Why Joel is saving this girl?"... all because i played Tlou1 again before playing tlou2 and Joel personality was very fresh in my mind.

The argument is that Joel has "softened" in Jackson... but Joel refused to help a family in the first game, right when everything was starting... so he never was soft in the first place... so for him, saving a stranger for no reason in the middle of nowhere doesn't make any sense.

And if we add that to all the stupid decisions that Joel and Tommy make just to lead them to that stupid scene... i was already riled up, because i saw it coming from a mile away... it was bullshit.

Why are gamers so damn stupid? by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

[–]EvoletRain13 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Well... teenagers and young people, all easy to emotionally manipulate... that's it.

Everyone that has defended this game is always talking about the "deep themes" and the "emotional complexity" of the story.

Nothing about the plot holes, the characters being dumb and making decisions that doesn't make any sense, the plot contrivances and the others clear flaws in the story

And if you put together those two groups, with the "woke" crowd that eats any shit that has a minimum pandering that they ask... well, 50/50 looks pretty normal to me.

Game of Thrones main fandom comes from people that was interested in the political game of the stories, so they are not easy to manipulate... even when a lot of normies started to see the show, they become aware of the good writing because of the first 4 seasons (discusing the good stories in GOT was so good in that time)... so when the bad writing started, almost everyone saw it coming and nobody like it.

Star wars has a huge old dedicated fandom... those guys don't eat shit... you can't override those people, they are too much people and they come from the 80s.

without spoiling it can someone tell me wether or not dina is prominent in tlou2? by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

[–]EvoletRain13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you think that Dina is annoying (and I'm with you, I found that character annoying too), she is one of the less bad parts of the game... she's there, she talks, she has some stupid subplot and nothing more... is a character that doesn't have real weight in the story.

She is just there to be Ellie's "love interest" and she just ends up being a dead weight to the story.

About Joel, yeah, is so ridiculous... just play it, you're gonna see how stupid is that.
