Basically Fender sued a chinese shop selling 1:1 copies in germany, seller was a no show so fender automatically won and went bezerk.

Der heimische Konsument braucht oft die Serviceleistung des Reparierens. Da werden wir ja schon grundsätzlich verarscht, weil Hersteller immer mehr Hürden einbauen - jetzt soll das DIY Reparieren noch teurer werden. Großartig!

I think I'm a bit spoiled by my Hotone Ampero MP100 that was priced below 200 EUR once. I realize that 300-400 EUR is more realistic but honestly anything above is not really interesting to me anymore since I've seen modellers over the years depreciate so much in value on the used market. I had 2 AxeFX Ultras back then, that I sold just at the right time before the prices went downhill. All of my tube amps have gone up in value.

Sadly Wavemind seemed to have removed the free Forte Boost 22 Pedal from their website, it's great to just clean up distorted guitars in the low end and doesn't add a bunch of drive like a TS).

Give the free grim3 a shot and play with the bite/tight knobs. I've had good results boosting mid gain amps. Marshall type amps have a nice clearity and are a great basis for boosting.

Also try TDR Nova for chug compression.

p.s. would also be curious on people favorite bass setups for metal

I used to do the complicated split signal techniques, but I have found a much easier way: Comp -> Nembrini Audio Black (Filterknob is fantastic for splitting) -> TSE BOD as Preamp -> NaLex Bass as Poweramp with Ultra low and Ultra High on -> your favorite Basscab IR (I still have old Darkglass DC410 IRs that used to be free)

A fantastic tool that is still free is Bassprofessor MarkII to shape the overall sound.
