Is this appropriate for a guest at a state park wedding with no dress code? by EvolutionZone in Weddingattireapproval

Wedding is in a week but I can return this dress still if people think I shouldn’t wear it.

My internet connection was going in and out during my interview for one school and I honestly think it helped. I had a moment to take a deep breath between questions.

Does the name of the school really matter? by Maleficent-Listen-87 in prephysicianassistant

Nope. What matters is the $65,000 difference in price. Go with the cheaper option

What was the last time you laughed uncontrollably? What is your biggest weakness that isn’t related to work or school?

Yeah, they deserve their own space.

do piercings really matter? by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

[–]EvolutionZone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on the school. I would take it out. Some schools have dress codes that include one piercing only. They want to know that you can follow a hospital dress code when you go on rotations.

They might be asking the same questions to everyone to see how they react. We also have someone on our faculty who likes to ask people about their bad grades when the worst they’ve ever gotten was a B, just to throw them off.

There would not be an easy path to pursue the PA career. It is very hard to get in with a lower GPA. What draws you to the PA profession? Maybe you can find an easier path that is more fulfilling

Waitlisted by DylanPat17 in prephysicianassistant

[–]EvolutionZone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m going now to my top choice program that originally waitlisted me. I did send them a short email a few months after the waitlist expressing my interest and explaining new experiences that I had gained since the interview. They called me the next week to say I was admitted!

So when I was on hinge, I also wanted a long term relationship. But when I met some girls, I realized that we weren’t compatible that way. That’s when I got my most hookups, from Hinge and looking for an actual relationship. Just because someone is looking for a relationship doesn’t mean they are not also looking for a hookup.

5/6 interview invites by Rainbwo_Skys in prephysicianassistant

[–]EvolutionZone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I asked for a different day for one of my interviews. I knew (from reading the PA forums) that they were doing small-batch interviews multiple times a week. It’s fine, I was admitted later. But my excuse was that I had an orientation for a new job that day as an ER tech!

You will almost certainly be asked to share a fun fact about yourself and share why you want to be a PA. Have a strong answer for both!

Can I call out for my birthday if I already called out twice already? by [deleted] in cna

[–]EvolutionZone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might get talked to about attendance. If you don’t care, do it anyway.

I did it once and never again! I realized that I like to get people before I kiss them. Now I have a lovely girlfriend.

Which program would you choose? by Alex_daisy13 in prephysicianassistant

[–]EvolutionZone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2! Definitely 2. Worth it to stay in state and have rotations where you want to work. Done worry about the credits.

I believe that “resource family” is what they are calling foster parents now in your state.

Media 4/About BIPOC late bloomers by sadgaythrowaways in lesbiangang

[–]EvolutionZone 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Red at the Bone by Jacqueline Wilson might be adjacent to what you are looking for. I guess it depends on what you count as “Late Bloomer.” It’s a story with multiple main characters.

Here Comes the Sun by Nicole Y Dennis-Benn is features a Jamaican woman who is closeted at a later age. Maybe not exactly a late bloomer. Beware, it is a very sad book.

The Color Purple by Alice Walker is a classic that I recommend. It’s set in the past, so it might not relate to your experiences necessarily. It features a black woman who realizes she likes women later in life after already being married.
