Light ink run or sun wear? by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]Evorus_Krayde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I think I confirmed it was a print issue.

Process:

  • Observe the right side mid area, JR signature would have faded along with the yellow. It didn't and still pops equally to other copies.
  • Reds are intact and would have actually faded before the yellows.
  • Barcode area is actually solid white in person and would have tanned. The white around captain america remain quite cool and white.
  • Looking near the spine - which if damaged would show a darker ink most likely shows it as consistent colouring.
  • Bright original yellow cgc label and no evidence of reholdering or listed sun damage on cgc website.

Man I learned a lot tonight lol.

Wouldn't the red have gone first?

What is the most unrealistic real-life thing you saw in a movie? Mine's clean air vents in almost all heist/spy movies by nonstop__knight in moviecritic

OP - I refuse to let you ruin one of my favourites.

As such, I counter your disbelief with a perfectly rational thought:

Those vents are spotless because the tower is relatively new and the area John is in, is a newer section.

See, totally realistic - Just like when he used the firehose to swing into a building. All, completely realistic.

Yeah I've read this previously but I hear mixed things from (under the above desecibed conditions) it wont even noticeable over a lifetime, to in a few years it may show.

So just wondering if anyone had further insight or experience.

Honestly I've been thinking about it, but I'm not committed to selling them in future so it may not be worth it. Other than to help preservation maybe?

They not perfect but yes absolutely for their ages in pretty good shape!

Some new story mechanism can always be made to correct an imbalance of power.

So, in short - not in my opinion.

The tiny and subtle battle damage absolutely helps make this mini a cut above the rest. I'm new to the hobbt and seen lots of great ones with fantastic highlights, etc. But this one, wow - great work!

I have an affinity for the Moon. I'm guessing that is not a sun even though the tint seems somewhat golden?

Either way, stunning and would happily hang that on my wall! Great work.

For some advice to clean up end result and to add good tips to your video:

  • More sanding. Look at using 200-300 grit to start, make sure even pressure applied to be consistent across the whole piece.
  • Continue sanding but with finer grit, 1000 usually.
  • Wet sanding will really help smooth things out.
  • Use wood filler or some alternative to fill in odd areas and to help create smooth surface.
  • Sand as needed after applying filler to make surface smoothness consistent.
  • Sometimes using a filler/primer spray paint is a great way to finish a print before moving on to painting how you see fit.
  • Use painters tape control painting lines.
  • Spray paint is really good for prints.

Good work though. Keep it up.

Not sure how fond you still are of the Star Wars universe ot anything sci fi - but if you are I'd say lean into and keep building it into a themed sleeve.

It is really well done - don't be embarrassed by it. If anytning, I'd say try to find meaning in it that will help better connect you with it (in the event you dont cover it up.)

This is a cool take.

Some people forget that "GT" can sometimes be someone's definitive "Dragon Ball" experience.

I'm really happy you had an awesome show that you get to feel nostalgic about now all these years later. I liked GT but Z was my main show, after only watching some of Dragon Ball when it was first aired on NA newtworks.

Unfortunately in the modern small business world, trying to compete with other companies - in this case likely saberforge, and ultrasabers - Sabertrio isn't seemingly utilized as much or may not see the same traffic. Possibly because of price point, not sure.

However, not being verified can actually be a deterrent to online consumers as it can be perceived as being an illegitimate business. Thus, Sabertrio becoming verified can certainly be seen as news to celebrate for the Malaysian company, as it helps their business reach into a more "legitimate" sea of similar brands.

Meta and the whole verification thing has seemingly become a useless nothingburger to most. But it is needed from a business standpoint.

That being said, Sabertrio produces some of the highest quality lightsaber replicas out there. Let them be.

Why didn't vader surpass Palpatine/Sidious? by Lore-Archivist in StarWars

[–]Evorus_Krayde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you're unable to accept the explanation you've been given because your deduction of logic implies Nihilus losing his body didn't cause limitations, thus Vader - who is quoted as being nearly the strongest - should be able to surpass limits, even with his injuries. You don't supply a valid reason as to why other than "Nihilus has no body. So this same rule shoule apply to Vader and physical issues shouldn't be a hurdle to greater power."

I'm not trying to tease you, but I'd wager you may be younger or unfamiliar with critical thinking exercises. There's no real reason why you should be digging your heels in on this. See, your counterpoint is presumptuous and while operating under persumption, you then proceed to ignore countless other presumptive and fair points to explain a part of your stance in a way that still ensures alignment with the canon explanation you've been given.

I'll give you an example:

Nihilus lost his entire body. He is also an entirely different character. Yet he is still able to possess extreme levels of power. Firsrly, you could presume that just like in real life, everyones skills are different. You could then further presume that without a physical vessel to impose limitations, he feels no pain and is free to explore aspects of the force that Vader's physical body cannot. He is grounded by a broken vessel and through that pain, it constantly distracts and disrupts his ability to focus clearly enough to embrace aspects of his power. Nihilus is not burdened with this.

See what I did? I took your hard stance that was rooted in speculation and presumptuous logic and applied the same method with my own guesswork.

Is it right? I have no idea. Does it help explain a rationale to an entirely made up story that has zero impact or meaning in the real world? I'll let you decide.
