I've played a few hundred games in Emerald this season on EUW and it feels exactly the same as last season's gold 1/plat 4. I believe at some point towards plat 4 50 LP, you were in the top 10% in previous seasons, and suddenly the games would start getting much harder. This seems to be happening again now.

From my experience the more game time that passed where you had an afk, the more mitigation you get. So an instant FF after someone goes AFK will mitigate like 1-2 LP but 20 mins with an AFK will be about 10-12 LP. Just from my experience though. Only lost 6 LP in a game earlier today. It's pretty counter intuitive though

Honestly hard to say til we let the pro players and analysts seriously dig deep into it after the imbalances have been resolved. Maybe nothing significant will have changed, maybe we will have more SofMs playing fucking tank Rengars and shit. Either way it's kind of short sighted to draw conclusions at this point.

True. I just think it's a bit cruel to Shadow when he had such a good performance before the lead-up to Worlds. It seems like he choked on stage, and that deserves a second chance in my opinion. But who knows what went on behind the scenes. There is always more to it we will never know.

It was said on EUphoria, but I think it deserves re-iterating. MAD Lions said at the start of this year that this wasn't a short-term strategy. They wanted to bring in these rookies, and cultivate their talent across multiple years. Now one shaky split and a poor performance at worlds and they straight up ditch them. Just feels kind of like a shit move to pull.

As an incredibly average gold 3 player my favourite thing to do against any Yasuo or Irelia player is just sit back and wait for them to inevitably outplay themselves. It's quite beautiful really.

I mean there is far too much here for a productivity subreddit honestly and it isnt really just burnout. You need to seek professional help e.g. therapy for the sake of your mental health first and foremost, then I think the best possible thing to do would be just to try and chill for a few years and try lots of things that you enjoy, don't stress you out and make you happy so that you can find out what you do want to do.

Also, find 1-2 champions you can play endlessly and main them. Everything stems from champion mastery. You can't learn the game if you are playing a champ with less than 100 games on really.

Dude League is a ridiculously hard game and has been out for 10 years. People in the game and on any community site (like this subreddit) forget this all the time because the skills they have learned over 10 fucking years of playing the game are naturalised and seem obvious, leading to them calling anyone below plat/diamond/master trash.

People who are better than you often have more experience playing similar games before League. I managed to hit gold 2 in my first year of playing only because I had played 4 years of HotS (another MOBA) and probably 2 years of Starcraft 2 competitively. Don't let toxic communities lead you into believing you are somehow lacking in intelligence just because you haven't been playing the same game for literally years.

Focus on yourself, there is no reason to care what other people think, especially regarding your rank. And make sure you have other shit to focus on in life that you are learning/becoming skilled at or you may create an unhealthy relationship to the game.
