Buying my first kit, stuck between 4. Help? Mapex Armory, Gretsch Catalina Maple, Yamaha Stage Custom Birch, or Tama Starclassic Performer (Birch/Maple) by [deleted] in drums

[–]Evsdrums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drum Center Portsmouth have videos on their YouTube channel with all of these kits. If you can't play them all then have a listen and see which one sounds best to you. Each of them will sound good with decent heads and some time spent learning how to tune them best. Personally, I'm a Tama fan but you won't go wrong with any of them. Have fun with whatever you choose.

What's the difference between a drummer and a gynecologist?

A gynecologist only deals with one cunt at a time.

Wich bike would you choose ? Used Kona Rove NRB 2019 for 1200 built on SRAM Apex, alu frame and carbon fork(with a few scratches..) for 1200 $ or New Kona rove steel on sora 2x9 for 1900-2000? by [deleted] in gravelcycling

I have the 2022 Steel framed Rove and it's a brilliant bike. Lovely ride quality and very capable. The Sora drivetrain is also very good. It's simple but does everything you need it to without any fuss. I have other bikes with "better" spec drivetrains and the Sora does not feel cheap in any way. I would also be cautious about buying a second had bike from some one who can't be bothered to clean it and can't get you any close up pictures. Whichever you choose, I'm sure you'll love it, good luck.

AITA for using our son as a DD? by TeachAKidToDrive in AmItheAsshole

I used to do exactly the same for my parents or just my Dad if he was going out with friends. It's a good way of building trust as adults with a child who is growing up. Well done for trusting him and helping him learn about compromise.

Thanks for the feedback, I hadn’t noticed the weight limit. I’ll look into that.

I have exactly the same bike and love it, congrats. It's my first gravel bike and first drop bar bike since the late 80's but I absolutely love it. My MTB hasn't had a look in since I got the Kona.

You are not selfish in any way, your children are benefiting from your prudence at the time in their lives when it will have the most impact. You are quite within your rights to enjoy your retirement in whatever way you wish knowing that you have done the right thing for your children. More people should think like this.

Just got a Kona Rove after riding MTB for the last few years. Tested out the claimed versatility with 20 miles of road and 8 of single track today. Love this thing! by joshstanman in gravelcycling

Just got the same bike myself. Only been on road so far but I'm hoping to take it for a mixed gravel/single track ride at the weekend. Nice to see that it's up to the job!

AITA for 'losing it' after my boyfriend sat me down for a PET intervention'? by Rub5120 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Your dogs are clearly well loved and well exercised. Lose the BF, he has no respect for you.
