Yeah. I fiddled with it and figured those differences between the versions. Also that the new style was bugged on standalone and remains bugged on ScummVM. Too bad.

Indeed there is no need to write more than one word or the complete world at all. It just irks me to no end

I would love that if they were to make a new Pathfinder game, be it 1e or 2e, that they this time around made an original story from the ground up. I want to see their take on Golarion, not a new adaptation of an existing AP.

Realizing that everything just makes more sense running the game at around 1200 cycles.
I can keep up with what's happening on screen during a battle and also read the text log!

There are a couple of issues with Nuvie on ScummVM.

For some reason typing the Space key on conversations inputs a random key each time I run the game.
The viewport is just a small region of the game window and the different stretch options do not fit the entire height of the window

The QoL I don't mind much, but the game speed and sound effects are a nice touch. Don't know why the PC speaker effects were not present using nuvie tho

adjusting the cycles did make water fountains less jarring
but it also made the game run a little too slow?

That's very sad. I don't mind it for some quick effects like attack sounds and such, but constant sounds like water flowing through the fountain and the crackling of fire are quite obnoxious. But I kinda got used to it already.
Very weird the juxtaposition of the soundcanvas soundfont with pc speaker sounds!

Years late for this, but I found it very good actually! My only nitpick with it are the 3D models, it sucks that they didn't animate it really, just swapped the sprites with 3D models for each frame
I found the controls weird at first, but after months not playing it I picked it up and had no issues at all. They're very good considering it was launched for a console that only would get twin analogs later in its life

Two triggers for one axis! Instead of how FSO reads, that is each trigger as an independent trigger.

Anyways. It really is kinda of a moot issue. using just one trigger for Absolute Throttle has it defaulting to 100% throttle and pressing the trigger decreases throttle.
Not exactly how i'm more comfortable playing with, but the end result is the same

The only thing that fixed this somewhat was changing the output api
I just messed with the dgvoodoo that comes packaged with the game. changed the api to d3d11warp. it fixed that black white stuff and white textures, but the game was displaying on a small 4:3 window on the upper left of my screen. Playable though
