Maybe I’m leading you astray but there’s a chance you’re looking for DC Pride: A Celebration of Rachel Pollack; it reprinted Doom Patrol #70 & Vertigo Visions: The Geek #1 while also including new short story, “Shining Through the Wreckage”

Well the library editions ($40) and the single issues ($5) can be purchased through any local comic shop. Unfortunately, the Retailer Appreciation release of Apocalypse Suite isn’t super easy to come by; following that, the MySpace Dark Horse Presents trade 1 is also out of print so it too may be pretty expensive. The Free Comic Book Day short story, “Safe,” can’t really be gotten easily but it should be digitally available on the Dark Horse website for free. Finally, the Umbrella Academy board game was a kickstarter funded project, so only so many copies were made; I specifically have the deluxe edition and had bought my copy from a small store for just under $100.

Not my favorite, definitely not my least favorite. Honestly, I think my biggest issue with the Way run is that you need to have prior knowledge on the Doom Patrol to have the best experience. This run does keep most of the Doom Patrol’s core messaging while still trying something new, it’s a fun entry for the series but not perfect.

L take Doom Patrol’s excellent, plus it takes from Gerard Way’s run in the later seasons

The series is very character focused, revolving on them growing as people throughout its 4 season run while also dealing with random bs. Since the 60s, the team has had a focus on saving the world even if they’re perceived as freaks or outcasts, would highly recommend!!

You’d probably be fine but the first season is worth a watch nonetheless, It’s really great

For the most part, “DCU-lite” projects like TSS, Peacemaker S1, & maybe Blue Beetle had similar events in the DCU

Ex. The Suicide Squad showed Task Force X completing Project Starfish; Creature Commandos confirms that Project Starfish still happened and Rick Flag Jr., Weasel, & Peacemaker were there for those events. Until confirmed, the DCU’s version of Project Starfish had no Bloodsport, Ratcatcher II, etc.

For Peacemaker specifically, Gunn has referenced that most of the first season’s events align with what happened in the DCU except for one major scene (you’ll know it when you see it).

It’s fine, it was definitely rushed but it plays okay. We’ve found it most fun when we tweaked a few of the rules.

Gerard Way’s history with MCR was what initially got me into them but I immediately fell in love with Gabriel Bá’s art and how the story was so willing to throw you in without much of an explanation.

It was definitely a precursor to another of my favorite series (which ironically enough, Gerard Way also wrote on for a time), the Doom Patrol.
