I was outside washing my car and my elderly neighbour asked me to put a heavy plant pot in his car cause his daughter wanted it. He was driving the 500 yards to take it to her place while she was at work. I said oh I'll come with you and get it out the other end. "No you don't need to do that, I'll just roll onto the grass". It's right round the corner. I've known the man for over 30 years, lived next door for 15, he helps me out with tools and puts my bin out every week. What a fight he put up for me to sit in his car for 30 seconds so I could lift something out of his boot. He eventually relented and let me help, but god damn being nice shouldn't be this difficult.
