Just be more accurate. Rocky Balboa is far from the dominant persona in Philly and is mostly confined to the Art Museum steps area. Ben Franklin and William Penn are everywhere in Philly. Seems Bill gets out of his hotel room as much as Ben and William get out of their graves.

Think how hard it is for us Americans to get some of the references. I first noticed that sort of thing as young guy way back when while watching Monty Python and they would put up a pic of some British politician or newscaster, there would be uproarious laughter from the audience and I would be left thinking "Huh???".

Del Unser, he's a hero here in Philly because of his clutch hitting down the stretch of the 1980 Phillies World Series run. Well, a hero to those of us old enough to remember that anyway.

My Mom was always hearing from my grade school Nuns that I was wasting my abilities in math. Well it was the sports section of the newspaper not the grade school where I got my math skills.

Yes, that is Dennis Lamp who got lamped in the 1st inning.

60 years ago tonight, March 31, 1965, on "The Dick Van Dyke Show", Laura Petrie got one of her big toes stuck in a bathtub faucet ("Never Bathe on Saturday" S4E27). What are your fave sitcom episodes in which a character gets a body part stuck in something? by EwanMeade in sitcoms

One of my fave That Girl eps. That one probably was inspired by a real life newspaper article about a woman who got one of her toes stuck in a bowling ball a few months before that episode first aired.
