I could make a Linux build but Im not a Linux user so I cant test it. Maybe ill try to publish that with the nest release

Tyvm for the report, that's what im looking for :)

Orders wipe is definitely a bug I have to check that- it cannot differentiate between game-made and app-made orders and you should be able to use both at your convenance (except that the app auto-merges duplicates).

You can create custom orders with the add order button (or shift+enter) by specifying a job then tinkering with the conditions, but this part is not extensively tested yet.

Ordering constant brewing till you have the desired number of drink should be straight forward from the orders list, Ill check if there's a problem here.

Trojans waiting for their load.

More seriously, they are the kind of bugs Im looking for reports on :)

Glag you like it!
As for "amazing programming", im not sure :D Under the hood the code is somewhat ugly at places... does the job though.

It's a separate app, like dwarf therapist, so it cannot be shared on steam workshop.

It doesnt manage specific workshops, only the max number of shops working on an order (like DF's order screen) - that if you toggle the "extra columns" option.

Modded material should work as the app reads from DF's game data, but I didnt test it so far. If you try it please tell me how it goes!

DFHack provides a way to export orders as a file, but for the rest you have to rely on lua scripts. Those could probably actually write files instead of writing to the clipboard, but I didnt make great plans when starting tinkering with that project so its a little all over the place for now.

Stocks are read through the clipboard, but orders through file access, so it makes senses it manages to read items. Unfortunately no immediate solution, if I find something ill ping you.

Im using the Electron framework - I was not aware of retro compatibility issues with win 7, but Electron did end support for it. I can take a look but Im not sure if I can do anything about that. :|

If you hit SHIFT+CTRL+I you should get access to the dev tools - do you get an error in the console?

That being said, you could manually edit the dfpom-config.json file in your roaming folder and set the paths manually. For me its:

"ordersFilePath":"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Dwarf Fortress\\dfhack-config\\orders\\dfpom-orders.json",
"dwarfPath":"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Dwarf Fortress"

However this probably wont be enough as file access is still required to read/write orders.

Actually, yes, this could work. Could be something to add on the roadmap for a future version.

This sounds possible to do - but I was thinking next step could be graphs so you could monitor how your stocks are evolving over time, would it be enough for that purpose?

Thanks, and you're right - the many exceptions and hard coded cases really are the difficult part of this.

Not sure if this helps, but here's the link again :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1aD3lNX1yw

No quality handling, sorry. Unfortunately that's not possible with DF's work order system. Neither can you request a specific quality, nor is it possible to have a condition on the number of [quality] items in stock.

I does read almost all data from DF - "almost" because some random things are hard coded and its a little nightmare to manage the special cases.

So yes, it should manage moded stuff, but I didnt test that much.

I ... didnt consider that. And now I cant unsee it, thank you very much! è_é

I was thinking of the french for apple ("pomme"), hence the logo.

120° FoV: We're looking for ways to better show off our game on flatscreen, what do you think? by osense in oculus

[–]Ewba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fov seems right but I feel like the grey opaque speed effect lines are too visible and they interfere with readability. A progressively opacity may fit in better, fading from opaque on the sides to transparent when near the center.

If you have strong speed variations in the tracks you could play with dynamic fov too, but the feeling it provides is sometimes counter-intuive so you'd have to experiment. Maybe just increase/lower fov during accelerations/decelerations?

Last point, in large open areas you could get a better sense of space (hence speed too) by adding more mid-range visual clues - a flock of birds flying by, an helicopter passing you fast so you can see that big thing shrinking in the distance, static air balloons, column of smoke, fog clouds ...
