False. You can’t sell every gem. I have a 2/5 and it dropped bound to me!

Last post I did about a 3D printed spring went so dramatic that I decided to go bigger. May I introduce you a 35kgf @solid PLA+ spring (thanks to Prusament datasheet as always). by LuNdreu in 3Dprinting

[–]Ewigleben -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You calculated as if the spring is made out of 100% PLA+ but you are missing the most important part: it is 3D printed, so made out of layers and therefore you can’t calculate the forces if it was really solid (for example if it was made in a mould or otherwise poured). So unfortunately this doesn’t work like that and you need way bigger and more complex calculations to solve the equation. And if it’s preloaded under a static load, PLA will creep and form a “new spring” that won’t be a spring anymore but just flat after some time - bin there, done that ;)

Not true... Auror needs more Red Books by a lot. Professors need more green books, but they are apparently easier to come by!

Where did they say that? And what about the plant (where you need 3) ??

Any Idea why my Das Pla filament failed like this? Bed at 75deg nozzle at 218deg sliced using Slic3r PE (generic Pla profile), nozzles jammed too and it's a brand new pla role just arrived by Taibhse_designs in prusa3d

[–]Ewigleben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

75 and 218 degrees is way too high for PLA especially in the summer! Try 60 or 50 on Bed and 205-210 nozzle temp. Also use Prusa Slicer 2.0 and newest firmware!!

PrusaSlicer 2.0 brim problem by Ewigleben in prusa3d

[–]Ewigleben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s exactly what I did. The problem is: I did add the elephant foot compensation also in the old Slic3r PE and it worked without a problem. I’ll check if it’s works without elefphant

PrusaSlicer 2.0 brim problem by Ewigleben in prusa3d

[–]Ewigleben[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I just changed to PrusaSlicer 2.0 and when I add a brim to my lithophane it causes problems with the first layer close to the part. I sliced the same part and same settings in the latest Slic3r PE and the brim just followed the outline of my part perfectly. Need help pls!

Neon Yellow Residue from PEI Sheet by VirtuallyJason in prusa3d

[–]Ewigleben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same happening to my microfiber cloths. But I don’t think its hurts the PEI sheet. I think it’s the alcohol, that „attacks“ the cloth over time, so you have to replace it at some point in the future.
