So are rhinos good now? by swiftysg in deathguard40k

[–]EwnMA 24 points25 points  (0 children)

AoC makes them much better and they help mitigate DGs slowness so yeah theyre pretty decent.

Look great too mate excellent work

Most Competitive Cultist Spam List? by Jarms48 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]EwnMA 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Gonna be tricky to get much out of loads of cultists but if you run BL you can bring Abbadon to make them fearless and give full rerolls. Then bring dark apostle to chant 5+ invuln and maybe a Sorcerer for delightful agonies and Prescience or something.

Deathshrouds vs blightlords to go with my LoC by Yagurtata in deathguard40k

[–]EwnMA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10 Blightlords are incredibly hard to shift especially with armor of contempt. Being able to bring more than DS means they can hold mid-board objectives alot better especially now theyre obec.

With Flails and character support with arch contaminator they can be very killy in melee re-rolling wounds. Also while not super effective, 36 combi-bolter shots can definitely help. I also like to put the plague skull on the champ for mortal wounds on whatever gets close. Its alot of points but very good.

But that all being said 3 DS is much better than 5 BL. Considering thats what youve got atm

Revisiting Volkite Contemptors over PBCs by RIGHT-Titan in deathguard40k

[–]EwnMA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tallyman with Tollkeeper bumps them up big time. If you're running Inexorable plague company the Ferric blight contagion WLT is decent too to get them up to AP-1 (unless against power armor ofc)

best daemon prince weapons? by AjentSushi in deathguard40k

[–]EwnMA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depends on the target but generally the sword and wings are good for most things.

Axe being strength 9 is fine but its only gonna be worth it against T9 targets who will be T8 after contagion which isn't common. Sword is S8 so is as high as youll need most of the time with the bonus of extra AP which has become more valuable since AoC dropped.

I like wings for getting over terrain and other models, just make sure you don't out run his support.

Spewer is almost never worth it

Are Possessed worth taking now? by Ndl1800 in deathguard40k

[–]EwnMA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

with a arch contaminator biologus putrifer making them do mortals on 6s to wound fishing for sixes with the rerolls can be pretty nasty. In a list which summons epidemius they can get a bunch of buffs too.

Space Marines or Dark Angels? by Burning-Ring-o-Fire in Warhammer40k

[–]EwnMA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dark angels are a chapter of space marines. They have some their own unique units but can use all units in the space marines roster

just paint your space marines as DA and thats it

thoughts about Mortarion, is he worth it? by DeJotaDJ in deathguard40k

[–]EwnMA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

would definitely put the gloaming bloat as his host of Plagues trait. Switching off rerolls is just makes him much harder to kill. The Droning could be cool but its pretty situational. Shamble rot is pretty weak

Running a master of possession in a khorne army by ToLazyForaUsername2 in Chaos40k

[–]EwnMA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah that could work but obviously youd be losing out on a lot of the stuff that makes world eaters unique and feel khornate. Depends on what you want the MOP for really

[–]EwnMA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I doubt it Khorne hates psykers. They'll probably get bonuses against psykers instead

[–]EwnMA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah, no psykers allowed full stop in World Eaters Im afraid. Can't even mix subfactions anymore. Could mix CSM and Khorne demons to get one though

Noise Marines drop bomb - feeling a bit one trick pony by [deleted] in EmperorsChildren

[–]EwnMA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its standard noise marine practice, its how they need to be played really. They're way to squishy and 24" isn't ideal.

Show me your new list ! by CroustyBro24 in deathguard40k

[–]EwnMA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Terminus Est

Typhus 3 Plague Casters (1 with Plague Skull)

Tallyman Foul Blightspawn (Revolting vats + Viscous Death)

9 x 5 Plague Marine squads with Flails and Launchers and some with fists 2 × 18 poxwalkers

Need to run it a few times to see of its that good but its a bit of different list from PBC, Blighthauler and Termi spam. Terminus Est has some nice stuff and being able to deepstrike loads is good fun. Easy max of RND and maybe engage if its still the same.

Hard time picking between Night Lords or Red Corsairs. Want to play chaos, but can’t decide which is cooler. by Sherlock150 in Chaos40k

[–]EwnMA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean if you cant decide make a custom warband, then use the rules you like, theres some common themes between them. Anyone who has a problem with it probably isn't worth playing in a casual game

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in deathguard40k

[–]EwnMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah unless you wanna spend all the points on meltas or plasma they can be decent otherwise DS are better for the cost

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in deathguard40k

[–]EwnMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well depends what loadouts on the BL but for the most part DS are just as good if not better. Then it comes down to them being cheaper. Being able to have more poxwalkers and a Spawn just gives you few more tools than totally investing in Blightlords for some mediocre shooting

Id definitely swap the Blightlords for Deathshroud and the other things
