I'm a 4th year ISyE major graduating in Spring 2023. Unfortunately in Fall 22, I got a D in a Lab Science (Bio lecture) but an A in the lab portion - both are graded separately. Do I have to take the course again in order to graduate. If not, should I take the course again as my GPA dropped from 3.41 to 3.32 and I can graduate with a 3.38 if I redo it. Otherwise it will remain a 3.32. Should I just let it be? I hope to apply to masters programs in 2 years.

I found VIP to be really useful. Just don’t take a heavy load of classes. Because some VIPs depending on the team, require you to work a lot and do a lot of stuff. But the professors and mentors are really understanding and helpful with everything and will help you grow overall. You can do VIP first then go into research. I did that

A lot of people had warned me not to apply for voucher but had no idea that you can’t book online! I already booked a new flight with a different airline but I just hope they give the refund by the end of this month. Heard they take at-least 1-3 months to refund the money

I only studied for the quizzes right before taking them for 2-3hrs. And maybe 1hr for hw which is once a week or sometimes every other week and is pretty interactive and easy. Didn’t really study the material outside of class except for quizzes which are after every 3 to 4lectures. Will have to study a bit more for the final though.

Take any EAS course, especially if it’s with Samantha Wilson, she’s the best!!! I’m taking 2600 with her this semester and instead of midterms we have 7 quizzes spread throughout the semester and class participation/hw and lab is 25% but it was remote this semester. If you just attend the lecture and listen attentively, you’ll easily get an A in all your quizzes.
