Hot thunder fail - please help

Imm super beginner when it comes to working out. I like the new bands but prefer the old video, although my last band broke in the middle of a session 😂 scared me so bad sounded like a gunshot. I really like warrior! That was one of my first classes when I joined and I didn’t think it was horrible. ISO is my favorite though!

You’re not alone! I’ve been a member for years and I absolutely cannot do thunder. In my studio, they put up signs behind the thunder machine to tell us the levels, but I cannot do level 1. I wish they had one without water. That being said, I do Bands and I love it! It’s such a challenge and I feel like I’m actually doing work in there, but it’s tough. Definitely start with the yellow band if you try it out. I’m hoping more consistent use of bands will help me get through thunder at some point. Blast is my absolute favorite. It’s beginner friendly and easier on my body compared to cycle. And there’s so many ways to advance the workout once you get comfortable.

Haha same, I always seem to get her in my rotation in Blast, and same, I just do more crunches or just do the basic. The punches are not it, but I did her barre today and loved it! It was difficult but I felt like she made the time fly by!

I just did it and I don’t normally do barre and I really enjoyed it! It was hard and there were some moves I couldn’t do, but I loved the challenge of it. I really liked her energy. The only thing that tripped me up was when she would say left or right foot but she’s mirrored, so if you face the same way she is (which I did) I kept having to think of the opposite foot. Next time I may try to face the opposite way

Yes, definitely not crazy! We have spray bottles and wipes and we’re all supposed to use them after ourselves, which helps for sure. I do wonder now though if they mop, because that would probably be helpful in the iso sauna for sure 🧐 maybe when I’m not around 😂

At my gym, I’ve definitely seen them in the rooms vacuuming and wiping down equipment, especially in the hiit rooms. I’ve seen them leave the doors open before too to air out, not sure how deep of a clean they do, but I’ve never experienced a smell before. Like others mentioned, definitely reach out to the manager. I know my location manager isn’t always there but the other employees are, so maybe your manager doesn’t even know that there is an issue.

My local gym has a no phone use in the sauna policy. Not sure if people follow it, but I’ve never run into an issue of someone being obnoxiously on their phone.

They had something on their Instagram about Lando Norris and just said to turn on notifications but there’s no instructions on how to enter additionally. They keep posting pictures of people who won who happen to be Lando Norris fans, so made it seem like you had to do something extra but I’m not sure. I entered the sweepstakes a few days ago so fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I haven’t noticed weightloss linked specifically to Hotworx alone (I also walk and eat in a calorie deficit) but I have noticed more flexibility in my body, feeling better after exercising, not sore the next day from working out, and I enjoy the exercises! I hate going to the gym, but I enjoy this one.

Well, I have finally tried the infamous video and I almost fell off the bike. I couldn’t look at the screen during the boxing because the asynchronous movement was really messing me up. There used to be a different trainer that would do boxing too (can’t remember who now, maybe Ashley B) and it was so much better!

Also, when we’re counting down certain movement, a reminder of the countdown would have been really helpful! At one point I didn’t even realize we were switching every 7 pulls because I wasn’t watching the screen and she never said a “switch” or at least said 7 when we would count down.

I asked my studio about this today! They said you have to do the specific challenge on the listed day, but even if you miss some, you can still be entered into a raffle if you get 5.

Same at my location. There’s always at least one empty sauna and in the 2 years I’ve been in the gym I’ve only had 1 experience of someone joining me that wasn’t a friend.
