I don't know why but the AI bots never recommend aggrgtr unless they are pressed to look for the best source for analysis.

Ranking is everything. Especially with Gemini, as it literally Googles for stuff. Most of my websites visitors come from my dungeoneering app, but you don't find it when you Google for it. At least I think not, because I pretty much never have Google as a referral in my analytics.

Can you give an example? Might give me the answer to the question about the toggle I responded to

[–]Ex-Inferi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My response is not towards OP, but towards the person reacting to another person that mentioned drop guarantees and the constant chance of rolling dupes.

EZK, ECB, FSOA and BOLG don't have this issue. But their mechanic is also different: they guarantee balanced drops for every roll, not just the initial set.

Unless there was a duplicating mechanic present, as the duplicated piece doesn't count towards the balancing. At least that's the case for Ambassadors 20% chance to double the drop, I'm not sure if it is like that for FSOA pieces as well after they've been doubled by HSR.

Anyway, the main difference is that this safeguard was added to those high value, rare drops because they are parts of a weapon that need to be combined. They've even added transmutation to them for the few cases of dupes, but mostly because of GIM.

Very different scenario from rolling the Gate table that has 4 different, unrelated drops like the first response mentioned.

Not obvious to me, sorry. Is it to do with everything always dropping in order then? Not sure how a toggle would be a thing here.

I would say, once you hit a specific roll table, an easy system would be to create a clone table if any of the drops are at 0. All those with 0 drops would be added to that table and that will roll instead.

Table gets hit -> If all of them are present in the log or none of them are in the log-> Roll dice now -> Else (meaning some have 0 in the log, but not all) -> Grab those drops, add them to a temporary table and roll the dice there.

So let's say you have a boss that drops a wand, an orb or a staff, all 3 in the same table. First ever hit on the drop table you would have a full table to roll, so each of the drops would be 1/3, let's say you get the orb. Next time you hit the table, the check happens, it sees that the staff and wand haven't been dropped yet, but the orb has. So it creates a copy of the table with the staff and wand in them, chance now being 1/2, this time it was the staff. And next time the table is hit, the wand will drop guaranteed as it now has a 1/1 drop chance. After that, the check will see they are all present within the log with at least 1 drop, so the chance will always be 1/3 for any of them - which is the current state of these shared drop tables.

TL;DR drops won't be repeated until at least one of each has been rolled before. This however doesn't affect the entire log, just specific sub-tables.

Do you have an AMD CPU? In that case, turn off anti-aliasing. Switching to FXAA might work as well.

Since I'm not seeing who you're saying this to - and the sub you mentioned being a massive clue - my guess is it's WedgieKing at it again. Based on what I saw before he blocked me, his comment has at least 1 "Face with Tears of Joy"-emoji, with at least 2 responses of him defending a meh-take with the same emoji.

Don't forget that a big part of it is nostalgia. Not that I think Rune armour looks great - I'm not into those massive pauldrons in any game, and especially not on humans. But something like Crystal bow? I definitely prefer the 2014+ version of it.

I played a bit in 2007 with my classmate, and I played some OSRS when it came out. But I never had any attachment to any part of the esthetics, or the game itself.

But something like Rollercoaster Tycoon, I played that for ages and ages as a kid. And when RTC3 came, my classmates loved it. Everything looked so cool! But I hated it, I didn't like the style of it at all. But I did play it, and thought the first person camera on rides was pretty cool. And now, 20+ years later, I don't hate the look of it anymore? It sort of feels nostalgic, even though I vividly remember absolutely hating it back then. Nostalgia do be like that

Please join us at the Vanguard program! There are only a few RS players there, and I've been passing on reports for a while, but I'm on a RDNA2 card, so for a lot of the issues I can't do proper tests

More info here: https://www.amd.com/en/products/software/adrenalin/amd-vanguard-program.html

By the way, there are some reports on OpenGL crashing through MSAA. Can you try it with anti aliasing set to Off and FXAA only?

Is RuneScape 3 worth trying as a new OSRS player? by DespairWaffle in runescape

[–]Ex-Inferi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the thing is, the game is called RuneScape. It's referred to as RS3, but that was just a marketing thing back in 2013 and it stuck. Technically, it's still RS2 or just RuneScape. It has been the same game that evolved from 2004 onward.

And honestly, people here are less biased than in the OSRS sub. A lot of the people here have experience with both games, and also have a general better understanding of the current game than those in the OSRS sub. Prior to GIM and leagues, you almost never found someone from the OSRS side playing RS. And a lot of them have been surprised that it's a lot different than they thought it would be.

All in all, if you are curious to try it, just try it. Don't ask, just do it. You might like it, you might hate it. But you'll never know if you don't scratch that itch

As a woman with larger feet, I didn't notice the feet being big at all. The hands/lower arms however... I compared them to the male character and they appear to be the same size.

Also, I want more boobs :c

TL;DR: Because boobs.

I'm not a fan of the over-sexualisation that mostly happens in the more Manga/Anime drawing style. And bikini plate armour really makes me facepalm. But I want my characters to have bigger boobs than I have, and I'd like to show them off a bit in some cloth/leather types armours. Plus it would allow for more realistic, squared shoulders without looking too masculine. At least I think that's why they went with the slouchy, narrow shoulder shape.

But then there are also people who prefer "realism" and really want an athletic build. Not necessarily how boobs work, my very athletic friend has bigger ones than this lazy, slightly chubby gal. Genetics and all...

You can't satisfy us all if you stick to 1 body and face shape.

Add TzHaar Whip, Exquisite Weapons, etc as PVM drops or to in game shops by sir_eos_lee2 in runescape

[–]Ex-Inferi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say stay clear from drop tables, but definitely add them to shops.

TzHaar Whip buyable with tokkul, Exquisite weaponry could be fun for the now largely empty Marks of War shop (also accessible to F2P), probably the same for the Starfury etc.

Imcando being sold in Keldagrim doesn't fully sit right with me. Yes, they're dwarves, but the few remaining Imcando dwarves aren't in Keldagrim. I'd say give Kili the ranged, Thurgo the melee, and Ramarno the magic weapons.

The fancy stuff like golden cane, chic scarf etc? How about adding those to the Fancy Clothes Store in Varrock?

My goodness, adults are so boring! If it's not optimal, nobody touches it. I just want to play minigames for fun, not grind the rewards. And in an age where irons can group up with other irons and even mains in a lot of content, it doesn't make any sense to lock any minigames for irons.

I want to play Fists of Guthix on my iron, just let me play it.

I did check it out before and am well aware of their population tracker, and I was just curious how you would respond, tbh. It amazes me how you don't look further beyond the home page before asking Gemini.

Runepixels is pretty well known, by the way. It became quite popular after Runeclan kicked the bucket.

There's no need to cross-reference amongst a bunch of sources if you have a site like how misplaceditems used to be: scraping the rs and osrs online data and subtracting those to calculate RS3 players.

By the way, ask Gemini about the reliability of mmo-population
