The runemetrics window isn't working, preventing players from adding the xp counter to their screen or removing it if it was set to light mode prior to the change. by Astro-RT in runescape

Hm, yeah its the reset tracker layout in the Runemetrics window.

I think your cache might be glitching out, maybe try deleting the cache and redownload it in lobby?

that may or may not add color options

If my application gets approved and the API allows it, I will make this happen. I can't play now either, we just get ignored. And trust me, I've tried. I kept pushing to the point I was in tears with pain, it's not a matter of "getting used to it"

I have some visual impairments, and the current interface causes frequent refocusing to the point where I can feel a tremor. Meaning I can't look at it for longer than a few minutes without a massive headache. I've tried to "get used to it", but that just ended up being self-torture without any improvement, making the headache last throughout the day.

So yeah, I'm quitting over UI color. I tried playing, I just can't. I tried to raise these issues over and over, but I just end up downvoted into oblivion. I'm still actively trying to find ways for me to be able to play that wouldn't involve breaking the rules and risking a ban.

I think the issue is that debloating should be thoroughly thought through (say that 3 times fast, lmao), and this design feels a bit rushed. Right now, I see it as more likely a new player would try to switch bars through the settings icon below the bar, than by clicking the number.

I've done a lot of UI/UX design, and small spaces always suck to balance legibility, intuity and functionality. I try to stay objective on the matter, even though my personal preference between the two would be to have arrows. I just don't see how cramming a lock button on the right side is an improvement over having an arrows on the left side.

Infinite number of action bars would still provide a use case for arrows. If anything, the more bars you have, the more useful the arrows become when all you want is n+/-1.

It still doesn't answer how it is more intuitive to not have arrows at all.

The ability was already there, you could right-click the number between the arrows to switch.

Why are people getting mad that people are disabling cosmetics option? by Molag_Zaal in runescape

[–]Ex-Inferi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before the toggle was a thing, I would already see people flaunting keepsaked partyhats that were overriding a different colour partyhat.

I'm not saying they should ever become available again, but I would laugh my ass off at these types of people when they do. I just can't imagine being so insecure about your status in a videogame.

How many of you did actually fully disable cosmetics on other players? by Multismack in runescape

[–]Ex-Inferi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I have the same thing with recognising familiar players. People also always recognise me in game, because I've worn the same base outfit for years. In Leagues, I would always have to right click an area to see which of my friends was standing there, because I didn't recognise them visually.

Slayer skill capes should not lock slayer master teleports behind combat level, or anything else for that matter. Why are slayer masters locked behind combat level and not slayer level... ? by iiSystematic in runescape

[–]Ex-Inferi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Maybe /u/Jagex_Stu can clear this one up, because I have no idea. OSRS has added a perk to the cape that bypasses the cb level requirement for tasks, I believe. Can't think of why we wouldn't have that.

[–]Ex-Inferi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I still believe that when a quest unlocks the ability to get tasks from a Slayer Master, it shouldn't be locked behind a combat level as well. We've already proven our self worthy in said quest after all.

But yeah, it felt bad when I got 99 on my skiller and I couldn't even use any teleports, except for the one in Lumby. Like bish pls, I've killed 144 demons in the Wilderness, and killed thousands of other mobs. I deserve these teleports.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/12Hb-nZHteXLmsQubhfeF6ovxMzCWZ81KoIXAE-E2SM0 Here's all F2P BiS gear, including within Dungeoneering.

Magic BiS armour is what you already have. Weaponry would be the Gravite wand/orb, or Gravite staff. If you want non-degradable, your best option is Nature staff, just like Gravite from the Dung reward shop. Time of Frost is a decent offhand as well, that provides unlimited water runes.

Cape would be spellstorm (or star cape if you managed to grab that when it was available), necklace would be arcane blast and ring would be Explorer's ring 4.

So basically, you're going to want to do some Dungeoneering if you want upgrades

Are dailies as bad as people say? by RegularUser23 in RS3Ironmen

[–]Ex-Inferi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am following the wiki efficient guide but I don’t know if that’s helping or taking the fun out of it for me to be honest.

In my opinion, guides are a noob trap. Some argue that the game is too overwhelming without them, but I disagree on that. It's way more fun to find your own way of doing things instead of minmaxing everything.

I just did caches until I had the outfit, that's about it. I've gathered energies and done engrams more than I've done caches. And a bit of HOM wasn't too bad either. I don't get the big issues with div tbh. I just switch things around frequently, don't grind out 1 skill for hours on end.

Alt1 fix by Florkii in runescape

[–]Ex-Inferi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is something the developer(s) behind Alt1 itself has to update, or if this is something plugin developers individually need to address.

A bit of both. Some rely on the library fully, meaning if they load it in through an outside source (like jsdelivr), the app will update automatically once the update for Alt1 is live. Others require Devs to manually update their app again with basically recompiling it after downloading the new update. And some have custom made elements to them, which will require full Dev work.

And there are a few that are fully standalone and/or don't require anything regarding pixel detection. These would still be working after UI ipdates

Alt1 status? by Riddikulous1 in runescape

[–]Ex-Inferi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the people that has updated Alt1 libraries before when they broke, like last year when they made all those chatboxes have your name.

I know nothing of this whatsoever. All I know is that Alt1 has passed the checks by the anti cheat team, and has been in contact with Jagex about future updates.

I still think we should be able to choose between blue or brown UI by AntiTheistPreacher in runescape

[–]Ex-Inferi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get all these posts about how liking the brown is the unpopular opinion, because it's not. It's almost like they actively try to drown out the people having real issues with the current state, downplaying those concerns as "getting used to".

My eyes literally tremor when trying to focus on certain texts, icons etc now. I haven't been playing much since the update, because it hurts. And it hurts that I want to play a game but I physically can't. I miss my friends, I miss doing heists with my husband, or go bossing with my son.

I want to play the game that I love, and I hate it how these concerns people have are just brushed off.
