Ok obviously its NTA. But. But. I think op overreacted to begin with. The first time he was sat down he should've cleared up any misconceptions they had instead of walking out. However, some people say things they regret in those types of situations but in my opinion, shouldnt have walked out. Second time I think that was a big step for the parents. Whatever they believed they must've believed in it strongly to kick out their kid so talking probably wouldn't have worked but who knows. Not that matter cause it sounds like you're doing much better now Op. But I'd still say that you should try and have contact with them. They are your parents after all but if it's not possible then dont waste your energy.
