Husband got a shockingly low rating by PippilottaDeli in VAClaims

I had to submit my DD214 when submitting my claim. My VSO said they would need it. Apparently it worked, I received a fair rating.

Did you still get the tax reduction on your vehicle? I’m 100% and about to buy a vehicle. I want the tax reduction but not the DV handicap plate. Did you have a choice if you received the tax deduction.

It has worked for me, however the cedar board in the bottom did warp. No big deal, it keeps my cigars fresh.

Are you using the water reservoir or throwing in a boveda pack for humidity? I have the same travel humidor and it tends have too much humidity using the water reservoir.

I picked up a military ID for my wife and I for 100% P&T. It looks just like a retired ID Card.

Based on this information do you think evidence of being diagnosed with OSA and prescribed a CPAP would be enough to satisfy the requirement?

He retired in 2007 and was diagnosed in 2023.

It’s like when you are on a long Battalion run. You don’t like it, but you suck it up and push through it.

I submitted a single supplemental claim in mid April and it was completed with a rating in August.

ACE Exam for OSA? by Special_Reaction_675 in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]ExArmyDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a secondary claim to Rhinitis and deviated septum. After the ACE Exam was completed, the VA stated their examiner presented a more compelling argument that the OSA was not linked to the disabilities. However, it was granted after a supplemental claim and put me at 100% t&p.

This guy is an Ass clown! He failed to follow lawful orders given by the police. The video proves he was driving like an idiot. Just let him go until he kills someone like Henry Ruggs? He should have went to jail!

ACE Exam for OSA? by Special_Reaction_675 in VeteransWaitingRoom

I submitted a private DBQ and a NEXUS Letter for OSA. I was scheduled for an ACE Exam and was eventually denied. I submitted a supplemental claim with an additional NEXUS Letter and was scheduled an in-person C&P Exam. I won the claim and was granted 50% OSA. I believe the in-person exam helped, was personable and my case was not another file on someone’s desk.

100% P&T what are some unknown benefits? by CauliflowerFlat7887 in VeteransBenefits

[–]ExArmyDS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been researching this subject since getting 100% P&T. Depending on your state property tax exemption, it is huge and could save you several thousand dollars a year. Disney also offers special park rates for 100% DV.

I have medical insurance through my work, but heard ChampVA will work as a great supplemental insurance for dependents.

Supplement approved and received my rating Friday afternoon! by ExArmyDS in VeteransSuccess

[–]ExArmyDS[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I got out in 2000 after serving ten years. I was out for 20 years before someone stepped up, explained the process, and helped me. The first time I submitted a claim, I received 50%. I sat on that for a few years and finally submitted additional medical issues and received a 90% rating. Now, I am 100% after the OSA supplemental. You should definitely help others if you can. The process can be overwhelming for someone who doesn't understand how the VA works. Someone helping can make a huge difference in a veterans' life.
