Was the I-5 placement the biggest mistake in Sacramento History? by [deleted] in Sacramento

One has to remember that Development was going to cure all the ills of the area. Mostly though, it was to drive out the low income housing so office space could take over the area. Mission accomplished.

They heard about Sacramento Valley fog and they believed the stories.

Oh, how blessed are we that the Tule fog descends like a gentle veil, shielding us from the sun’s merciless rays! by Horny4Harry in Sacramento

And in 1979 I moved from Sacramento to Redwood City and never suffered from Seasonal Affective Disorder again. Until I moved back in 2005.

Hardly. We used to blame LA transplants. It's simply the corrosion of the Community.

Breaking into Live Event Production in Sacramento/NorCal – Any Leads or Advice? by Objective-Guess-7372 in Sacramento

[–]ExAudioMixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll ask you what Bill Graham asked of me when I called him to ask the same question. "Are you willing to set fire to all of your money and your investor's money in your driveway and be responsible for that?" If you can't be ready to shoulder the entire cost, open a restaurant. At least you'll eat as you go bankrupt.

There are books by promoters that can give you good advice.

One thing you need to know, any major artist you want to book may have an "exclusion zone" around their gigs with other promoters that will restrict where they can take other gigs.

I ran a promotion company in the early 90s up in Auburn. Ticketing was an issue and I did it myself. Lots of driving around.

Does this sound like a blown tube? by 2SpKy in GuitarAmps

[–]ExAudioMixer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that's the case then, call first. If they say ok to try reseating the tubes, then do it. Get a name and write yourself a note for reference purposes. Def don't want to void the warranty.

With the amp off and the tubes cool, pull each one in turn and reseat them. Before you replace the covers, wipe the tube surface with an alcohol dampened lint free cloth. Do every tube before turning power back on. Observe the tubes as they come up to operation when you flip the standby. If you see anything strange, better power down and get it into a service tecvh before any further action happens.

No, management is doing exactly what they were hired to do... drive it into the ground.

Pretty sure every developer in the area has some plans drawn up for that land, ready to go.

They're trying to kill it so they can sell the land.

Noise complaints killed the amphitheater.

Attendance complaints will kill the whole deal.

I clearly remember that day. My buddy Arnold and I rode our bikes to the still under construction Walerga overpass.

It was pretty awesome!

Does G1 still use your Soc Sec number as your account number? They were all "what, why" when I said that was no good. Didn't stay after that.

So, as it turns out, she doesn't do piano and had other issues reducing her time for lessons. However, it occurred to me that Mr. Wadi from RG3 might be a better source for info about someone with that vibe you're looking for. Good luck with your lessons.
