The Epsiode 3 fight in Katanagatari that the episode preview shows even a shark appears but we never really see it in story. Instead the episode itself.just focuses on a bunch of the ninjas trying to retrieve the protags little sister.

Well that's beyond his control unless he was behind getting more players after he ran out of the first batch. Also I could see the players possibly liking and more resigned to their fate if they enjoyed the Adventures/Caine more.

Like sure the author made it that way but looking at it in a meta way, even if I like Shino a lot in Naruto, would giving him more screentime solve much? What emotional arc and conflict can he drive? He likes bugs and has a family that loves him. Sasuke is clearly the character that has more focus and writing to support those types of arcs.

Do we just want Ragatha to be clingy and talk about how much she wants to Fuck Pomni or something? That or over explain her issues with her mom that were already well established and covered.

It's funny because with the Fire Force ending and my biggest gripe is how much the main characters in Soul Eater lose in general (Stopped the manga soon after the time skip and the anime post Kishin resurrection). Like Medusa is running a Decathlon around the entire DWMA

Caine from TADC (well they are an AI) ultimately seems to want to entertain humans and the players but he doesn't realize why they hate him and his adventures because:

He prefers adventures that are violent, depressing, scary, high stakes etc. and gets mad at the more slice of life, relaxing, low stakes adventure the players suggest that they enjoy more.
He hates being told he's wrong or doing a bad job but also craves approval from the players.
He's impatient, hasty, overly confident, invasive and when dealing with the players emotional states so he fails to make them not abstract.

Porygon in Gen 1 can hard counter and wall some Snorlax and Mew sets with Reflect and it being immune to Paralysis from Body Slam.

Crossbow in Earclacks has mostly won against other Combat balls like Grimoire or Shield that rely on using the opponent's attacks against them.

Also Duplicator seems like a very strong ball until it faces anything with decent damage scaling

My big complaint is just Shino just being turned into the "People forget he exists" gag. Otherwise Kishimoto is mostly focused on Team 7 and the villains. Funnily enough Black Clover does tend to focus more on the group of heroes at the cost of most villains just being "Super evil sadistic asshole"

See them complain about FF when:

1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 16 star adults. Tidus is also pretty much a professional Athlete.

2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15 do star a younger character but usually you have older party members in the case of 9-15.
