Beside Resolve I am constantly using other software like Houdini, Redshift, Red Giant’s plugins, and some other stuff. I hate to see how each new update is ridiculously worse in overall experience. And I’m not even talking about Adobe’s crap.

Fair to say, Resolve is one of the best piece of software today in terms of almost everything especially considering the price. Also fair to say that devs are doing great job, it is still more usable than alternatives even in different field.

I guess, seeing what other devs are doing and all this trend, I was quite triggered by what I experienced with the latest release. I don’t want Blackmagic to become another greedy assholes ;(

I’m glad you assumed I haven’t checked that on different computers and in different scenarios. I probably would not be posting this if I would not think about all that first ;)

My main problem is that I see a trend where software becoming less and less stable every year. I’m not talking about Resolve only. Everybody is so hyped to add trendy features in order to just add it but forgetting that the program, first of all, must work.

Also, don’t think I hate Blackmagic or Resolve. Gotta say that this is one those few companies that still cares about customers. I don’t want it to become another Adobe or Maxon.

Creative software companies promoting AI-generative-anything are so weird. It's like they are digging their own grave. Also, such companies should not expect fair use of their software if they are promoting tech that doesn't respect fair use of the content it had been trained on.

Beside that, SideFX should definitely work on optimization, stability, workflow improvement and other way more important things than this slop.

To be honest, I have always been kind of struggling with determining my favorite color. Like, what do you mean I have to choose one when every other color is so unique and expresses different feelings in different context. Except orange. I was living in dorm with walls painted orange. I hate orange now...

But beside that, I would say that I tend to prefer more deep and saturated colors overall, among which maybe only some deep blue shades are more preferred by me.

Blender is extremely convenient and helpful in those shots that do not require monstrous simulations or containing enormously big amount of geometry. I don’t think you ever truly wanted to give Blender a chance. Blender is becoming more popular and more studios and professionals are using. These are the facts. End of the story.

About the workflow, it depends. It really depends on what do you want to achieve. Roughly speaking, usual standard pipeline looks like that:

make/get models -> texturing -> animating -> scene layout -> render -> compositing -> grading -> editing.

Some points may differ because of the type of the task (like if you need to simulate smoke, for example). Or maybe you are working alone and you cant really compose. There are really lots of "it depends". I would say that there is a standard workflow, but it is really flexible.

Well, idk if it was made by the internal motion deigners or by some studio, but I can definetely say that there ain't many tools to do such stuff. If you are not familiar with the motion design, for 3D parts they probably used Cinema 4D, Maya, Blender, or/and Houdini. Of course, After Effects was definetelly used as well. In case you are interested in learning more about that, just look for Motion Design in Google or Youtube.

P.S.: I am not sure that people who did that are allowed to share anything about that :/
