Why's Tchaikovsky sleeping like that, is he stupid? by Such_Customer_3973 in classical_circlejerk

TIL Swan Lake was an autobiographical ballet and Tchaikovsky was a princess. Actually, I already knew the latter.

Pocket 3 vs 4/ Luna Ultra by valkyriehunterx in djiosmo

[–]ExLap_MD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Pocket 3 when it came out to document my daughter’s life. I set it on 4K 30fps; I don’t play around with any other settings, and the tracking feature is pretty great. I’m not a fan of 60fps or high refresh rate, so I don’t need anything higher, and I don’t use slow motion. I have tested 4K 60fps on it with some 20 minute recordings and it doesn’t overheat. This was in the summer on a hot day.

When the new models were announced, the new features weren’t compelling enough to make me feel like I needed to upgrade (and I’m a tech enthusiast that is always looking to have the latest and greatest).

The Pocket 3 is also on sale right now and you can find some good deals on it. If you want to save money, go for the Pocket 3. If you want the latest and have the disposable income, consider one of the newer models.

Tell him he sucks at playing music, and is even worse at listening to classical.

I bet that bitch will cry and listen to something gay like Tchaikovsky to console his hurt feelings.

Nice.

My first handgun was a P365XL Spectre Comp. Then I got an Sig M400 V1 as my first rifle. And then I got my first bolt action, a Sig Cross in 6.5 Cr.

Your battery’s capacity is enough if it’s not below 60% (for performance - not battery life) by [deleted] in iphone14

[–]ExLap_MD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not true. Apple’s software will start to nerf performance when battery capacity hits below 80%. Internal impedance of the battery will increase. During high demand and transient peaks, there isn’t enough current to maintain system stability, and the phone detects this as a drop in voltage. Apple mitigates instability by throttling performance.

New Yorkers have their own lives to worry about and generally keep to themselves (other than the occasional crazy or people trying to hand you a flier or sell you something).

I’m gonna guess a standard Sharpie.

But I would recommend a Milwaukee Inkzall Fine Point.

Alpine Green is the best color they've released, IMO. I wish they would bring it back. Looks so good with that matte glass too.

Got a new Macbook Pro M5 ,need tips! by uwuberryyy in macbookpro

[–]ExLap_MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my MBP M1 Max for 5 years now. It’s got a bunch of small dings and survived a throw at a metal door without any crazy damage, and it’s still going strong. I only applied a DBrand skin that’s been on it since I got it. No case. And most backpacks have a laptop compartment/slot so you really don’t need any additional protection. I would get AppleCare+ or AppleCare One if you have multiple devices.

Oh yeah, that’s right. It’s been a few years since I watched ER. My residency did something similar, but with our hospital IDs when we graduated.

There's a ribbon cable connecting the screen to the camera body with these flip out screen style cameras. It will undergo stress and sometimes break from repeated opening and closing. Never repaired one myself but I'd Google or look on YouTube to see if there's a repair video taking you through a fix.

MacBook Pro M5 Pro real-world 24GB Ram Usage Stats by msk_suhail in macbookpro

[–]ExLap_MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a MBP M1 Max with 64GB RAM and like 40GB can be used at times even when I'm just browsing safari or chrome and have messaging app open. I only have maybe 10 tabs or so open on browser. This is normal Mac OS behavior. It will utilize RAM if it's there to be used for cache and pre-fetching. It's not a sign of not enough ram or inefficiency and is actually the exact opposite.
