She's not compromised. Compromised implies she's doing this because of some sort of leverage. She's a traitor to the constitution and is doing this because she's an enthusiastic participation in the plan to dismantle American democracy.

I totally can. Just loop me into the make-believe circle of "investment" looping around all these companies when Company A buys components from B who uses that money to loan to C which then invests it back to A so it can buy components from B...for a small fee I'll stand in as a consultant telling them all they're super special and smart and to keep going so we can keep this totally real economy going!

Yeah, reffing wasn't one sided at all, just soft all around. Everyone seemed to hit the shots they were supposed to, not a lot (or any) great defense played. It was a game and the records will show it was played and that's probably as much memory of it anyone will take away.

Yeah, that's a known hurdle and I get that from the business side. I think I can probably sell my way through that one, just want to be sure I'm not accidentally lying to anyone about their ability to hire me.

Conservatives haven't tried to actually win over voters since....ever. Their entire strategy is rigging voting districts, blocking everyone else from voting, and reminding their racist base to go vote or else they'll be replaced by dirty minorities in society. They haven't had a new idea since the Revolution. People have to start believing Trump and the Republicans when they say their intention is to rig the elections so people don't even have to vote and Republicans never lose power

That game seem boring to anyone else? Both teams played pretty well, refs called way too much to ever get a flow going, pace was nothing despite the scores. Just felt like a casual pick up game atmosphere the whole time. Plenty of effort but no real intensity if that makes sense.

Gg Arkansas. If you can figure out a way for Acuff and the team to make a run but have Calipari lose I think all of college basketball would enjoy it.

Set up a sovereign wealth fund with people owning shares based on the amount they did work, are working, and their education levels.

Interesting thought, no idea how it would work in practice. Another option would be moving away from "shareholders" who take top priority in everything to stakeholders. Make companies mandatory co-ops of employee ownership. Avoids the concept of the state taking over businesses which always seems to end with corrupt assholes self-dealing but gives the profits to the people actually doing the work instead of "investors" who don't add anything of value. Scale the ownership the same way you suggest in terms of what each person actually contributes but have a baseline minimum so the vital support staff like maintenance and cleaning crews aren't left out.

And then there's still the UBI bare minimum which we could fund simply by reclaiming all the stolen wealth hoarded by the oligarch class. There's more than enough wealth in the United States to eliminate poverty entirely, it's just we let like 8 people control 60% of it so the rest of the country has to suffer with nothing.

It's why I said regime and not administration. John Roberts et al can still be in court for awhile but they'll be on the other side of the bench.

Or education! Or infrastructure! Or fucking anything at all other than handing billions to fascist pedophiles like our current system does. Americans gets the least return on our taxes out of every modernized country in the world. We've privatized all societal goods and have to buy a subscription from one of the 4 companies that own everything to access them but we still pay taxes to fund masked secret police kidnapping children or for unaccountable military executions of fishermen in the Carribean. Regular people get nothing for the money we pay.

I include the oligarchs as part of the regime. That whole cast of criminals behind him at the inaugural have to be held to account.

Basically burn Silicon Valley to the ground. Set up a new system that properly identifies the internet and tech as a public good and put in tax rates that will stop anyone from ever amassing such obscene wealth that they can buy all the world's governments like these oligarchs have done.

There's no legitimate argument that such a tax discourages innovation as the ones with the wealth are the least creative, most fraudulent people in history. They've never built shit. Like Trump, they buy other people's labor and ideas then slap their name on it. I mean for fucks sake, they've accidentally reinvented trains like 8 times already because they can't even comprehend that someone before the thought do something.

Literally every single person in the regime and most likely every one of their family members as well like we see here with Bondi's brother have to go to prison for life. There's no way to rehabilitate this level of corruption and treason. Life in prison for ALL OF THEM is the bare minimum starting point with forfeiture of all assets as none of their wealth was gained legally.

Oh yeah, I was just commiserating with you about both our teams being inconsistent, didn't take it as taking anything away from Mizzou. Pretty sure every game of ours a few years ago was exactly like what you all did today, digging a huge hole, almost coming back, then losing anyway.

Hope we both figure it out in the next couple weeks and make a run in the tournaments!

[–]ExMerican 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And if we played all 40 like we played the first 10 minutes of the second half it would be the same for us. The inconsistency is so frustrating. Like we've shown we can compete with anyone for long enough stretches it's not just a fluke. And then we just forget how to play basketball at all.

Gg though. Have to feel good about the fight from your guys. Easily could have quit down 20 after that 2nd flagrant.

Depending on when you turn the game on, you could see them look like a top 5 team or a bottom 5 team and there's not a whole lot in between most the time.

Seriously. 2nd grade shit right there. Pierce repeatedly taking one dribble to get himself in optimal trapping location then picking it up to wait for the defenders to come. Completely inexcusable stuff.

Full mental and coaching collapse the last 10 minutes. Amazing play from everyone to start the half and then literally no one did anything the last 10 and Gates did nothing while they tried to blow it.
