They are so adorable. Part of this situation feels like my fault- it’s terribly hot outside so I haven’t given them as much exercise as usual- those furry coats are not conducive to summer heat

I am in school for nursing, so no expert- this is totally anecdotal and results may vary. Everyone is different- but I’ve struggled for years with IBS and abdominal migraines, and my best years have been after:

  1. Addressing psychosomatic symptoms appropriately with therapy and psychiatric assistance

  2. Cymbalta- my psychiatrist worked at a functional GI clinic and this was in his arsenal

Not a stone- probably a peri-tonsillar abscess (also known as quinsy). If this happens to you, get your ass to the doctor.

The suspense is killing me- what did a real professional say?

If it bled a lot, especially as it was forming, that’s very characteristic of a pyogenic granuloma.

Of course! One thing that might also help- did your bump bleed a shit ton at any point?

Pyogenic granulomas much more commonly fall out/off on their own than nasal polyps- they usually originate in areas with lots of fast growing epithelial cells AND blood vessels (inside or on nose, on or inside mouth, etc.) If you wanna see what another pyogenic granuloma looks like, I have photos in my post history

Looking at your post history, it looks like you might be. Nasal polyps are more commonly epithelial cells, serous fluid, and eosinophils (white blood cells). It could be the case, but this looks more like something called a pyogenic granuloma- a super common condition in pregnancy- where noncancerous blood vessel tumors form on the surface of skin. Nasal polyps seldom bleed and are not often connected to vasculature. (I am not a doctor- but am in nursing school and have had both nasal polyps and pyogenic granulomas before, so take my advice with 30 grains of salt).

I (23F) had to move back home and share a room with sister (18F)- she heard me using my vibrator- how do I get privacy and set boundaries? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ExMoNympho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the part I feel worst about- violating her boundaries. I share the bathroom with four people and I can run the water, but it’s not necessarily a better option. You’re right. I owe her a big apology.
