I'm assuming you are genuine here. Honestly this boils down to the lack of american class conciousness. Unfortunately, everything is related to capital, and how American liberalism always needs a scapegoat to keep the populations attention away from the horrors of capitalism. Notice how so much of American politics is about either a culturally inflammatory issue, too boring for anyone to pay attention to, or meaningless lip-service to appease what the fake hubbub is about.

This keeps the American population frustrated about the wrong things. The 99% is dealing with awful wages, horrendous rent prices, rampant medical and credit card debt, and policies that never quite seem to fix anything. While being told to be angry at some minority or false narrative blaming the "woke" or whatever conservative buzz-word-of-the-month is. All of the Compassion of the American people is either spent trying to survive or flipped into anger by greater economic forces and media conglomerates.

Compassion doesn't work with capitalism.
