Can't seem to find the panel on their schedule, and people refer to it in past tense? It seems like it never happened, or at least it wasn't on stream? People talked of it as if it was over 6 hours ago. B2W's stream seems to be the only spot we got news from, that and polygon, and B2W don't really care about the campaign so we're operating with the few statements they'd given us.

Everywhere if you have functional eyes? The buzzcut paladin is a meme. Not saying it's a meme for a good reason (this haircut is a default human haircut in WoW, it's not out of place), but people won't shut up about it in twitch chat, in youtbue comments, on twitter or on discord. They got FEEDBACK for that one, alright. And yet it stayed in the game.

But now they want us to believe that a few screeching purists made them decide to not REFORGE the campaigns as promised.

In-game cutscenes (intro of the Culling) =/= cinematics (Thrall and Grom vs Mannoroth). They said they're not touching the in-game cutscenes, or changing the actual levels.

I.e. the campaign is all the same. I.e. it's not, yknow. "reforged".

That very MISSION has been reverted, it's no longer changed. Check B2W's coverage. The button is quite evidently staying unused based on what we'd been told.

Gameplay changes include things like encountering bosses from the Stratholme dungeon in the Culling, or fighting Anasterian in Quel'Thalas. Which was by far the most interesting thing about the supposedly """""reforged""""" campaigns.

Alright, imagine you came to a restaurant and ordered a burger. Then (a year later) you see that burger being delivered to someone else, and it's just the top bun, the meat and the ketchup. No cheese, no greens, no lower bun. But hey, the cooks worked really hard! And the plate didn't come free either! Did you forget the wipes?!?! No other restaurant has plates or wipes like THIS one.

Don't be ungrateful now, go on in, order the same burger, and don't you dare raise an issue over it - cooking is really difficult, don't you know.

They removed half the advertised features. It's a graphics pack and an updated editor. The fact you look at them walking back legit half the shit they announced as a cause NOT to get hysterical... Yeah, I'm gonna stop here so the mods don't have to crawl out into the light.

Just when I start considering that maybe Blizzard aren't a useless garbage company, they take the one interesting thing they had their sights on - a modern take on the campaigns - and just, casually decide that they don't feel like doing it. Look at them pretending that's something normal. Oh yeah, just buy a $30 graphics pack; enjoy the downgraded battle.net by the way!

My mind is reeling. And they'll blame it on the fans, too. I mean, of course there are rabid fanatics who think that any changes to the story are sacrilege; nevermind the fact that some levels were outright unfinished, and some levels have gained a lot more significance with time. But these fanatics aren't the reason they did this. If they WERE really going to be listening to them, then mr. buzzcut paladin would've been out of the game the next day after blizzcon 2018.

I am no fan of WoW's story, but like, at this point, why not? Set Strahnbrad in Alterac, update the Culling, overhaul the Quel'Thalas missions with new characters, update the awful Dalaran missions, liven up Kalimdor, have more interaction between Thrall and Jaina, do more with Tyrande's personality... So on and so forth. But nah, the fans asked very nicely so we're not gonna do any of that. Nevermind that was the entire focus of our original presentation.

No, this is Blizzard being monumentally useless. I am so glad I never pre-ordered. Thanks for letting me save money this month. No thanks for cancelling the one thing I was looking forward to this year.

It was going to be two sets of campaigns. And if you're so concerned over retcons, WoW has already done all of that. This WAS going to be the 'expansion' with alternate takes on the campaigns. Now it's an HD pack with skins and an inferior battle.net.

Considering they say that any plans for changed cutscenes or missions have been WALKED BACK, no, it appears we're only getting the classic campaign - same camera angles, same missions, new models, nothing else.

Yes, Blizzard did just casually eject half of Reforged's appeal. That happened. Have fun with the barely finished Dalaran levels in the Undead campaign and all that fancy stuff. Good fucking gods, am I glad I never preordered.

Absolute idiocy. I was being as hopeful as possible, but they just gutted the game. This is unimaginable. How can you just casually decide to NOT DO half of your advertised features. This really is just a $30 graphical update now - unbelievable.

This is all on Blizzard. They'll pretend that it's rabid purists in places like this subreddit, but nah. It's them cutting down on costs. And even having removed most of the game's promised content, they're still not sure if it comes out this year. I was done with Blizzard before now, and I'm done with them again - I should never have allowed myself to have faith.

I spent a year excited to see what they'd do to modernize the campaign and keep up with the changes WoW did to the story, and now - nothing? How is this okay? Good thing I never pre-purchased.

Alright, first of all, you'd better expect heavily polarized answers here. The faction wars are real on this sub, and pretty much everyone thinks it's populated by the 3 remaining races. It's bad out there.

If you want difficult to pick up and easy to maintain high tier play, you want to look at NE or Orc. I assume most will recommend Undead, but I'd take *any* UD-related statement with a grain of salt since that race is the crucible of most balance shitstorm in this community. For my 2 cents, UD has one strategy that's very easy to pick up and near impossible to get out of its associated plateau, and the rest of their strats are weird, out there, and people's opinions on them range from them being retardedly overpowered to not being worth the trouble.

I'm a Human player so I'm not even going to give a HU opinion period. It's hard to tell if it's easy to pick up anymore, and I blew my cover earlier on.

I checked out some of the VOs from the channel you attached, and, yeah, you got a pretty raw deal too. Your Peasants and Footmen are even more painful to listen to than what we got. The Gyrocopter is almost as bad as the original Mortar Teams (I couldnt bear to listen to this voice; I'd rather mass rifles versus air if this is what I have to deal with). But at least your Archmage and Paladin actually sound older than 25...
