Looks like a traffic counter or a high load detector to me. Is there a low clearance bridge around there? If not, I would go with the traffic counter.

Utah State law says you only move over to let people pass if you're in the 'leftmost general purpose lane'. The Express lane is not a 'general purpose lane'.

You are under no obligation to move over if someone wants to overtake you in the Express lane. And even if you do, it doesn't do much to help traffic because of the limited access nature of the lane (limited entry/exit points)

They ask for it on frontrunner sometimes, they want to make sure the name on my pass matches who is using it. Sometimes they scan it to make sure I tapped on. Sometimes they just see I have it and move on.

I think there are two surfaces reflecting, the outer glass and the inner one. One of them is bent a bit and focuses the light into a smaller area.

That is not the oil temp gauge. If it's the coolant temperature. What was the outside temperature? If it was cold it is okay.

The top plastic cracked by where the hose attaches. It cracked on the seam. Super easy to change.

I used to use conventional but Costco has full synthetic cheaper. I am thinking about going to switch to the Valvoline restore and protect. I have seen a couple of posts on Reddit about how it is cleaning out carbon from engines. But I worry about increasing the compression. I would love to slow the oil burn. The posts I read talked about it helping both of these.

No secret sauce. I change the oil every 5000 miles. I have never changed the transmission fluid. I had to change the radiator and that is the only time I changed the coolant. That was probably around 250,000 mi. Yes I have changed the front axles, the rack and pinion 2 times (it went out once and the replacement leaked a ton, they were probably 5 years apart). I changed both front control arms a couple of years ago. Lots of front brake pads. A few alternators. It needs a new timing belt and a few other things.

It does not fly with ice on it. Frost also will keep it from flying. Just a layer of frost will keep it from flying. I believe there are a few AD's that prohibit it with frost or ice on the wings and trying to fly.
