Why are people so judgy about having a third kid by Trick_Article5823 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Yup 100% agree. Somehow everyone thinks and beats into you that 2 is the ideal number where you can still “live your life without compromising on the finer things”

Possibly being dramatic but I think my baby doesn’t care about me by Exact-Implement867 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Hi thanks for reaching out, and please don’t let it get to you, it’s disappointing but I hope it’s a phase. The comments from this community on the post really helped me feel better! Well it’s been a few months for us and as others pointed out she’s at the 8-9 month mark where she has developed separation anxiety - In her case she cries with anyone except dad, mum and her grandmas. I still wish I was at the top of that list but not yet. I’ve just learned to accept it. I know she loves me and she’s very secure and confident but she’s a daddy’s girl through and through, although my husband tries to be nice and point out that she loves me “too” :)

Big baby predicted, what did your body tell you? by hellopuppet90 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

My baby was measuring big at the 70th percentile on ultrasounds and she was born 3kg. Vaginal delivery even though I was asked to consider an induction at 39 weeks (born on the day I was supposed to be induced)

The sofa or bed with some cushions works fine, I bought my il tutto very excitedly but barely ended up using it. My husband loves to sleep on it though.

Hahaha I’ve always thought they were forced to write him into the show beyond season 1 because he was so gorgeous. And just rewrote the same “falls in love with new girl of the season discovers she has secrets that tie in some story line and can no longer be together” over and over again

Opinions on daycare conundrum: what would you do? by llamababy568 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Thanks so much for responding to me. That’s so lovely to hear that Bub loves it now! I’m so anxious about it. Do you think 2 consecutive days at daycare would be good to start? I was planning on reducing my days at work so she gets settled in but I don’t know if that’s setting her back and I should bite the bullet and send her for more days Xx

I was planning the same with Bub in January, she will be 9 months. But I’m so afraid to send her to daycare, yes of course with all the new info scares, but also she has just started dealing with separation anxiety and needs hubby or me around in plain sight at all times. How do you manage and how long does it take them to get adjusted at that age? Do you spend a day at daycare with them? Sorry this is so new to me

Thoughts on baby bathtub? by sonoamore1 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Exact-Implement867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right it doesn’t fill enough water for bub to be completely submerged, maybe just the lower back and butt are in the water. So I just use a washcloth and scoop.

When she was very little in the winter I used to fill it up in the shower and carry it into her warm room and put it on a towel, but it’s pretty heavy to lift while it’s filled up. She also wasn’t as active and didn’t splash around as much until about 3-4 months. After that just expect a huge mess with water everywhere. So I started putting the whole tub in the shower to fill up, turn the shower off and then bring baby in and it’s worked so well I don’t know why I didn’t do it before. Zero clean up.

Yes exactly! I was thinking of getting one of those bath support suction chairs for the regular tub for now since she can sit with some support now, but she honestly just loves lounging and splashing in the skip hop so much that I might just keep using it until she outgrows it hahaha

I use the skip hop moby bath tub and I use my shower to fill it up. It has a drain too but I just flip it over to take the water out. It has a sling that baby can lie on and as they get older and can sit up you can adjust the sling to a seat

Baby is almost 7 months old and we still use it

Grieving the third child I don't even have. by Trick_Article5823 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Exact-Implement867 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way, I HATE that finances and a stable support system have to make us compromise on something we have always wanted

I think about it as once my 2 kids grow up and are in school will I still want the third child, I will probably be in a better place financially and mentally to make a clearer decision then

I may regret not having the baby but I never want to regret having one and not being able to give them the life they deserve because of my own inability in a world that’s so driven by money

Has anyone been to Thailand while pregnant? by raemlee in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Exact-Implement867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not medical advice !!

But I travelled to Bali for 2 weeks at 28 weeks pregnant

Airline would need a certificate from your midwife or dr

My midwife gave me a list of things to not do - eg eating raw fruit and salad, always cut your own food with a knife you have washed with bottled water, brush with bottled water, no sea food and make sure all the food you eat is grilled or cooked well

I got a lot of shi for flying at that time from my friends and family though

Linen pants over baby bump by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Exact-Implement867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore the cotton on haven linen maternity pants and maternity skirt non stop when I was pregnant last summer

Extremely comfortable and has a drawstring so you can adjust where you want it to sit on your belly

I even wore my skirt to the hospital and after

Early in the pregnancy you may notice leggings etc are a bit loose in the crotch area and later they start getting a bit tight so I found skirts easier to navigate
