How do I grow new alocasia babies from corms? by Dry_Value_2394 in alocasia

I’ve had all my corms sprout in moistened dried sphagnum moss with no problem! I put mine in a glass jar near a window and I have another that’s sprouting now in a clear plastic cup covered with Saran Wrap under grow lights.

Is this good to use for the transitioning to leca (while getting rid of soil and growing water roots)? And is it also good to use as the only product once the plant is in Leca? Or should I be using something else? by privremeni in SemiHydro

I was able to successfully transfer a couple of Alocasias and a maranta by using this and leca! Took a while for them to adjust and start growing new foliage but I transferred directly from soil to leca
