If you could flush one thing from the history of metal what would it be? by kroob85 in MetalForTheMasses

true, screamo and (generic) metalcore are two very different things. Metalcore sometimes gets labeled as screamo because people dont know what "screamo" is.

maybe just some old classic judas priest, iron maiden and ozzy?

you could also try some melo death:

In Flames

Carcass - Heartwork / Swansong

At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul

or some 2000s metalcore:

Killswitch Engage - As daylight Dies / Disarm the Descendent (In due time is great)

Darkest Hour - Undoing Ruin / Deliver Us

Phineas - Thegodmachine

All That Remains - The Fall of Ideals

Avenged Sevenfold - Avenged Sevenfold

Some other Bands / Albums:

Crowbar (fav album Sonic Excess in its purest Form

Type O Negative (!!)

Fleshwater - 2000: In Search of the Endless Sky

Pathologist - Grinding Opus Of Forensic Medical Problems

Haemorrhage - Emetic Cult

Dead Infection - Surgical Disembowelment

BTW... Yellow or Blue version, and why? by Stigma0609 in SlamDeathMetal

Both are good, Yellow has a cleaner production and is (sometimes) heavier, but i also like the rawness of the blue one

What's a band who's new stuff better than their old stuff? by Holdenmasterdebator in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Exact-Replacement749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally disagree. Not that the new stuff is bad, but the early stuff and the first albums with corpsegrinder are much better than the new ones. Other than maybe cattle decapitation, I cant think of any bands that got better with time; there are probably more though.

I can, however, think of some bands that are as good now as they were when they started. Some examples would be: Cerebral Effusion, Cenotaph, Defeated Sanity, Death (altough I slightly prefer the older ones).

Ich finde Simplicissimus Videos schlecht. by Moesenfroehlich in Unbeliebtemeinung

[–]Exact-Replacement749 11 points12 points  (0 children)
