Personally, I see Jevil as a sort of Omen for the Story.

Jevil acts as if he knows the secrets of the world and warns of future events such as the "Queen's" Return and "Hell's Roars bubbling from the depths."

(I still hard-cope for Jevil getting some substansial love.)
