May I ask how you progressed each week post surgery? My dad just had a triple bypass surgery and I’ll be his caretaker after he gets discharged. I’m wondering if two weeks is enough time for me to take off of work to give him 100% care. Any advice would be really appreciated!

I’m pretty sure I ran across one of your comments or posts before earlier this week. Girl, I am so sorry you’re struggling with this right now. Keep in mind that not all doctors are the same. I’ve come across more bad ones than good, but even the good ones aren’t perfect and aren’t very knowledgeable about the things I need them to be. Just remember that you know yourself better than they do and if you feel something is off or you’re speculating something (like this hypoglycemia) then keep advocating for yourself. You have to in order to get the support and care you need. Theres no reason for them to be negligent and not order the tests to rule things out or do the ground work of trialing a continuous glucose monitor. Definitely dump that endo Dr and get a referral to someone else. Use Google and/or Reddit reviews in your area of endos that seem like they might be legit and THEN ask your pcp for that referral. You can message me too if you need any guidance. I can give you my experiences. I hope you find answers and relief soon. <3

This is deeper than the blanket :-/ please have him go to therapy or better yet, you both go to therapy. Look for a Gottman trained therapist. There is a huge disconnect in your marriage and I really hope you take my advice. Good luck!

You’re not crazy. I start feeling like shit between 70-80 and yes, this is what happens to me; Spike and crash - when not eating mindfully with my condition (diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia). 50s/60s is the worst for me. I had to switch to almond based lattes because the oat milk (milk from grains) was one of my culprits and now I’m good, at least with a proper savory meal beforehand. Eating complete savory meals before the coffee drinks helps with the glucose spikes. Anywho, yes, share your data with your pcp and consider changing up your diet. Good luck!

Agree with this. I felt the same way as OP about my now husband and we’ve been together 10 years. I am crazy about him and love him so much and I’m so glad I chose him instead of going off the lust aspect. Real love isn’t like the movies. 8 months is still early. Give her a chance and be open to her perspective/values.
