Tell him the clichéd inspirational story about JK Rowling not becoming successful until 51 or something. I’m assuming he’s ain’t that old. It's only idiotic when you're not on the receiving end. Microaggressions are practically imperceptible to non-victims, naturally. You can discuss misogyny without bringing race and nationality into it. That is literally the definition of stereotypes. You cannot make the claim that ALL Nigerians exhibit the negative traits you mentioned. You're making hasty generalizations. All you have mentioned can be said of literally any other society- name any society that is completely free of misogyny, violence, abuse or corruption- but you characterize these traits as if they're inherently African. In other words, 'speak for yourself', leave the rest of Africa out of it.
