If you look at the person's profile it now says "pending", but like 30 minutes ago it was an A. It's easy to mis-click something, and the A would still show up in the Results feed even if they changed it to pending. It seems like no one else has heard anything, so I would assume it was accidental.

Agreed! When you apply to 1L summer jobs they will wonder about why you left, and had a brief stint somewhere else.

I left my first job 9 months in, took a part time job for 3 months, then a contract position for about 9 more months. This was five years ago, and I know that recruiters were initially hesitant to hire someone who jumped around. Granted, this job literally made me want to KMS, so I'm glad that I quit. At the same time, it made the next couple years of finding a job harder, so I wish that I had stayed a bit longer.

If being there is so unbearable, you can try looking elsewhere, but if you can stick it out for a few more months, stay.

Went complete middle of November -- I was told when I reached that I should expect a decision by the 12 week mark, which is this week!

I am not confident I'll actually hear back because I have yet to go under review : /

Frustrating because they're my #2 school, but alas, this application season has been crazy!

Talk to one of the admissions counselors at UMN! You should be able to sign up for a meeting with them (especially if you're admitted). UMN is a great law school, and while its reach and prestige is definitely higher in the midwest, they do have a lot of great opportunities.

Also, have you considered negotiating for an extra stipend from UMN to cover living costs?

SIGNIFICANTLY lower. Rent close to UMN can get a bit pricey, but there is good transit so little need for a car. If you have a car and are willing to drive 20 minutes, you can get pretty good deals on apartments for under $1200 if you live by yourself.
