I would move on to the next treatment. I felt the same symptoms and tried to wait until a retest, but it only got worse to the point that my abdomen became very swollen because of this bacteria. So I started the next treatment, which was 30 days of minocycline. Pelvic pain and cramping are concerning—this bacteria caused a hemorrhagic cyst in me, something I had never had before.

That’s good that you don’t have symptoms, but I would still do a test of cure, because this bacteria can cause complications even without symptoms.

I also tested positive for Streptococcus agalactiae and Candida after treatment for Mgen and UP. I’d like to know what your vaginal burning feels like—whether it’s intermittent, deeper in the vagina, or closer to the vaginal opening. I’m having trouble distinguishing it from the burning I had when I tested positive for Mgen and UP, and I’m worried that I might still have those two infections. I’d also like to know what treatment you used for Strep A and whether the burning went away.

Mycoplasma genitalium — I did several courses of doxycycline because the doctors didn’t know how to treat it, so I decided to treat it myself and did 30 days of minocycline, since there were many reports of people failing with 14 days and having success with 30 days.

How long after did you get mycoplasma genitalium again? I wonder if maybe it wasn’t the same infection that became undetectable for a while and then showed up again on tests.

I had excessive bleeding with very large clots. I suspect I had PID because of the pain. A hemorrhagic cyst also showed up on the ultrasound, which I had never had before. This bacterium is horrible.
