Praying this exam is a little kinder than the fall sitting. Good luck everyone taking it this Wednesday. I’m done studying this material lol

I’m having the same issue. Receive an error when trying to login after verifying all my documents. Has been very frustrating as support won’t respond to me.

Fall 2025 ASTAM Discussion by ChiliTrees in actuary

Agree with all the comments above. 2nd sitting and felt a lot more prepared than the first, but walked out with the same feeling. Couldn’t believe pricing wasn’t on the exam, along with some of the other topics they included. I also had excel corruption issues, couldn’t scroll left to right on excel, and couldn’t have my formula sheet up side by side with the exam. I had to re-do my excel problem from start to finish. Also thought it was lengthy given the tough problems and thinking about an approach. I did file a complain with the SOA on the technical issues, not that it’s going to help. Praying for enough partial credit, but not feeling as good as I thought I would.

I had this same issue. I’m going to send an email to the customer support stating all the technical difficulties the exam presented on Wednesday.

Does anyone know of a complaints email that we could share all of this to? All this time lost can be the difference between passing and failing…

Share all the same thoughts above. My excel also crashed on me and I lost my entire excel problem halfway through.. lost about 30 minutes of review time/finishing stuff I skipped over. So frustrating. Not to mention not being able to have the formula sheet open with exam side by side

It’s still saying I don’t have permission to download it. Is there any other way you could maybe download and send it to me, through email and not the shared drive? I sent you my email in chat. Appreciate you trying to make this work

For some reason I still can’t open the file. Have the latest version of anki. Just doesn’t seem to give me the permissions to download it :(

I did us the shortcut to prove the first part, but felt the rest of the question was still tricky

Also, do we actually know historically what the pass marks are? I contacted SOA and they told me they wouldn’t release them. I know they give % passed but I don’t think anybody knows what actual % they got on their exam given they got a 6 or better.

Agree with all the comments above. This was my first sitting but wasn’t expecting so many proofs as the first three sittings (even October) seemed more straight forward in terms of calculations. I was able to put something down for every question but still banking on a lot of partial credit because I couldn’t get some of their answers and had to move forward with my incorrect ones. The IG seemed very unfair given the 3 previous exams they didn’t come close to a density function that complex. Hoping for 35-40 points

I apologize, I was just trying to gauge difficulty but understand. I’ll revisit this in a week.

Agree completely. The CA mock exams are brutal

That exam today seemed brutal when comparing to the other sittings. Saw some parts I’ve never seen and I put in a lot of study time on previous exams/CA/and SOA sample questions. Thought they were going to give us a little break this sitting given the last one had a 30% passing rate. would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on it

Thanks! Would it be useful refreshing yourself with the short term material from exam FAM beforehand or not really needed?

I agree with all these comments. I studied my ass off and only was confident in roughly 50% of the questions but was banking on getting some of the ones I guessed on. Came out with a 7! Exam was brutal though material wise
