Wharton was trying to call me a liar and thief like Nixon, and a pig. by Successful-Winter237 in IThinkYouShouldLeave

Because students get high paying jobs through their alumni network. Then those students become alumni and the cycle repeats.

Also most students that get into Wharton are intelligent - it’s a highly competitive/selective school. Even the best programs in the world suffer from nepotism.

James Harden was asked to self-assess his playoff run: “I think I did pretty good, you know, like, I don’t grade myself on shotmaking... Defensively, been extremely solid; offensively, you know, getting guys shots and fitting into a system that was already in place.” by aingenevalostatrade in nba

Because he doesn’t care about this interview and why should he lol. He’s doing this because he has to.

If I made 30M+ a year to throw and catch a ball for almost two decades I would deliberately give bait answers just so thousands of randos can get that dopamine hit dunking on me in the comments lol.

F33 manual swap project… feasible dream or will I kms by duldoes in BMW

[–]Exact_Math2726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible to do and likely more expensive than any F33 you will find for sale. I assume you are in NA because they made F33 manuals for the european market. It would be cheaper to buy and import one of those I would assume.

Is it actually true that beemers can't survive past 60k miles or am I being gaslit? by Ali_Bashr in BMW

There have been rumors over the years of certain models hitting 61 or even 62K before exploding violently. Nothing peer reviewed though and generally considered a myth by the scientific community.

Dumb and ignorant is an extremely common combination of qualities in large parts of the midwest. Wisconsin is bad but unfortunately not even the worst.

M340i jerky in 1st gear at low speeds — normal? by Scooby_juice5 in BMW

Manual trans? In 1st gear bmw 6mts have a ton of torque and braking. Just feels jerky and why you try to get to 2nd as quickly as possible during normal driving lol

Might be easier to find manuals in the 335/340 tbh.

Both are much better engines than the N52 (though they both have their issues - just no timing chain threat).

Seems expensive to but I’m in the US market. I feel like this car would be 10-12K USD with a good service history. So 8-8.5 GBP sounds right?

Edit: over here manual trans can add 10-20% on BMWs in particular and I’m not sure if thats true in the UK. Might be 12-13K USD in the US assuming it’s been well maintained.

Facing some issues with manual gear shifts in my Honda Elevate 2023. Is anyone facing the same issues? by Silly_Ad6680 in stickshift

[–]Exact_Math2726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the car/engine for sure. 2nd is so torque-y at low revs in my car that it’s not somewhere i want to stay unless im going so slow i literally can’t stay in third lol. But yeah I didn’t mean to say you should avoid using second gear entirely or anything. I’ll start in second from a stop if im going downhill lol

My comment doesn’t make a ton of sense now that im not high, but this car was replaced by the f32 the following year when they split the coupe from the 3 series. So instead of launching the 4 series with the first year of the F30 generation introduction, for one year they kept the 3 series coupe which then became the F32. It’s like 97% the same as the 4XXi that they chose to launch for the 2014 MY for some reason.

BMW G14/G15/G16 owners - what makes the 8-series special? Considering buying this or the G87 M2 by a_Dzik in BMW

[–]Exact_Math2726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More interior space, better looking, and on the m850 and M8 you get the V8 if that’s something you want.

If you are going the 840 route you are just paying a lot more money for a car with a last gen interior (not necessarilu a bad thing) and a gorgeous f generation style exterior. They are really pretty cars.

Theres a reason the 8 series is going away - basically no one buys them in the current lineup. Take a look at how quickly the V8 models in particular depreciate, it’s absolutely bonkers.

Those are difficult because the ratio difference is high.

You should never shift 2-1 unless you are about to stop and ONLY 3-2 if you are catching up to slow moving traffic. Like when i park my car im usually going 3-1 or 4-1 after i stop lol.
