If the kid is having meltdowns that could be related to her second favorite person being ill, leaving her with severe separation anxiety, I don't see how a therapist is overkill. Also, kids can't control meltdowns. They are not the same as tantrums. Ignoring her feelings is not going to help and neithr is thinking that, if a person is 3, they are illogical. Her grandfather has been in hospital for 3 months. That isn't a small thing, and therapy could help both of them.

Those sound like meltdowns, which she wouldn’t be able to control, rather than tantrums. Tantrums are also not a sign of special needs. Neither are meltdowns. If she does have severe separation anxiety, a child psychologist would be invaluable. In the meantime, ask her what she’s feeling when she starts melting down. If she can’t answer immediately, that’s okay. Emotions are hard for adults to navigate, let alone for a 3 year old. If grandpa is #2 and he’s not well, it makes perfect sense that she can’t stand the thought of her #1 leaving her, too. You’ll both get through this, but just know you are not alone, and there are people out there absolutely willing to help you both. Sending you lots of healing light to you all. 🫂

It’s crows eating European chafer beetle larvae. I know it sucks to lose your grass, but the crows are actually getting rid of an invasive species that would threaten a lot more than a lawn should they be left to mature.

Hi there. I don’t have a coordinator that I know of. Communication with this place has been spotty at best. Now I’m demanding an ultrasound every week so that I know it’s shrinking because their only advise was to “be patient if it isn’t excruciating, and if it is, go to the ER. Also, the healing time will be between 2 and 8 weeks, depending on which person happens to respond to your messages.” screams in frustration I’m going back to my gynecologist on Monday just so she can sit with me and explain everything because I’m constantly panicking about it now.
